So I'm up sh*t creek without a paddle. The amount of expletives I want to yell out is so profane. So the first service centre prev. owner sent the car to is now closed, and the second one has only one service done there. so it is wasted, I can only ask Autosure to be kind (but that is unlikely to happen) and for the want of the extra 9 months....Sigh

she's lurking the forums, mate.

I can tell you why, but it won't be PC.

are there any other supplier that are cheaper? I had Eagle f1 D5s a few years ago with a larger discount from Hyper because a Trademe dealer did them for about 10 dollars cheaper a tyre. and they actually honoured their best prices guarantee.

the same kind of guys who used to hoon about in EG/EK Civics.

as long as it is a competent machine (unlike the Merc A-Class sedan which is dynamically flawed) any drive is alright.

the reviewer was positively gushing over it. made it sound like they liked it better than the VW. how much did Munich put in their "gift bag" ?

That's rarefied air for an absolute minter! ?

I like the Style 237, but they are hard to get. I'm sure Mag and Turbo et al are sitting on mountains of these, but seem reluctant to list them . on the other hand, what if the light blue of the electric revolution were to be put on the trailing wings?

The twisty bits are absolute fun on your own, but if loaded with passengers, less so.

Have done some searching around, and it seems that there is a bit of coding involved in changing the cars region to Oceania, and then reflashing the maps to the latest ones. there is also the uncertainty (in my head at least) to see how it would clash with the hybrid system? I will get a computer check done at @BMTHUG next week so I can get a better idea of what to do going forward.

Last owner has been reluctantly helping me out with this, so, I don't know if it is a good idea to approach the workshops direct. I know they usually do not like dealing with "non-paying customers"

Though only from Palmy, I did the drive through the desert road, and boy was it gorgeous. a little monotonous, but worth a look once, it is unlike anything I had seen in NZ... thought I was in Arizona in some parts. The War Museum and the peak views can be rather breath taking.

There are a few oxford green ones with cream interiors running around, mostly ex Jpn, some ex UK. in fact Rose City Cars in Palmerston North had one for years (over priced though it may be), Just that when they come up for sale, they are hardly ever wanted.

How do the Aliexpress units compare vs the NBT system? faster? does it still offer the same functionality? -

So, The Activhybrid was supposed to have come with 9 more months of Autosure extreme and Hybrid cover, but the previous owner being a right damn fool (odd considering him being an insurance agent) he didn't keep any of the receipts of the services done. feel rather cheated but don't think I have any recompense (even if the balance of the cover would be worth around $800 or so dollars? ) So, What would be the best company to go with for an MBI? I am going to get the car to get a once over at @BMTHUG's and hopefully will be able to get a new policy elsewhere. Would AutoSure be the best policy still, or are there better companies?

it does look like a low volume commercial unit, that is not expected to be used 24/7 tbh. but from experience, the pumps on these keep going as long as your intake water is clean. (especially if you will be using bore/rainwater) may want to consider intake filters.

what is the point of getting a MBI when the the owner is a dimwit and doesn't keep all the service records? ARRRGGHHHH

yeah, that was my first reaction too, will see how easy the stripes come off. But first the front needs some work, as a few of the kidney slats are broken
