  1. do you mean the trademe link? or the 364s?
  2. Twas a beautiful day to be barrelling up the Desert Road, with Mt Ruapehu in sight. clear as. back in AKL by dinner after lunch with rellys in the Tron. total consumption of 98= 48 litres. and 560kms... not too bad for what it is, I guess. probably got pinged by a MCR van somewhere in Taupo. a very dangerous weapon
  3. So the active hybrid came on square Style 364s with M+S tyres on them, so am debating if i should dump the rims as well and go for the rfts like this https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/car-parts-accessories/wheels-tyres/alloy-wheels/listing/2765627162?bof=MFst8qUW or keep the rims and get some fresh Pirelli Pzeros for 1300 on hyperdrive... I'm rather ambivalent about the style, though it does keep the car being unique. does the design provide any function in a hybrid?
  4. they are rfts too... sigh.
  5. tfw the car you just bought from another dude on tradme has mud and snow tyres on. do they even pass the wof????
  6. the rain stays mainly in the Palmy plain... hope to get better photos tomorrow.
  7. The usual sh*t, interested in a Mazda CX-7, and then the one example I may have set my heart on, has a smoky turbo.

  8. Watching my uncle's funeral going on in Malaysia through Zoom is my first experience with the app. a necessary one. it is a surreal experience.

      Sad times.
But glad you *could* be involved.

  9. Not for selling crumbling NZ New Maximas though. i am struggling to get 4k for it, replacing it with something else will be hard. yet the yards are still saying buying is still happening in Japan? I dunno, FB marketplace has slim pickings when it comes to Bimmers and Mercs..
  10. the new site is absolute junk. bad bidding on it extremely unintuitive
  11. SO I accidentally a ActiveHybrid 5 last night, Ex-Japan, Cream interior , Now, to somehow collect it from Palmy....
  12. aaand classified was withdrawn! very interesting.
  13. should I? It really needs a garage, doesn't it?
  14. there was this '08 X3 with a N52 that I got scared off because the seller had it at the mechanics getting the rocker cover done... was just 130k km and only 6k. dodged a bullet because X3.
  15. the 2.5 sounds like a south east asian special for tax reasons.
  16. bugger off John Bishop. Suck an egg.

  17. I suspect a lot of bleating in the news is pretty much campaigning. but I digress. on the US politics side, he chose his very own Judith Collins, Biden did, as a VP.
  18. Got head hunted this morning. Salary is 10% less than my current but has a car included on top (worth 17k) and commissions. wonder if i could just get that 17k in cash... as i have a nice car.  all in all it is probably not worth it, as the current place is quite cruisy.

Bear i mind that this is the opening offer.
You can say "I'm interested, but..."

  19. considering one did sell for $250k in the US , there's money to be made ,i guess https://www.thedrive.com/news/35045/this-e30-bmw-m3-just-sold-for-250000-on-bring-a-trailer-your-brain-is-now-on-fire
  20. Agreed, AA inspections are the biggest waste of time, as they use the Dog & Lemon guide as their bible. so anything non-japanese or modified, is completely out of their league and they will make up faults where none exist,
  21. I wonder if you can get decommissioned ones into NZ...
  22. usually do #1. But now, am at that stage where #3 is making my fingers go itchy.
  23. Ah, got you. 316L or duplex is not cheap. I do a lot of SS equipment for the F&B Production/manufacture and variation in costs can be whiplash inducing. I can get items made up in italy and shipped over for half the cost of doing it here.
  24. 100 bucks a hose end is a little on the high side, but overall, the complete cost is not so far out if the 14 hoses (assuming flexible stainless braided hoses are on the EXARO hose register.
  25. Trademe has such a huge variation of quality in traders/suppliers, I have had good and bad experiences. I ordered some bits for the Q7 and haven't even received a confirmation of payment receipt and yet for the stuff that I ordered ex-OZ, it arrived in 3 days this morning,
