Good to meet you today. Car is clean, well done on the buy.
-
Nice pics man
-
If it's the one on factory 18's, it sits near the Lamborghini dealer most days, well it used to.
-
Don't think I've ever seen an E46 without full leather.
-
Because race car.

Does anybody have hook-up's on this steering wheel?

And you don't want to wear racing gloves and end up looking like this guy. -

Just make sure you look after it. The oil and sweat from your hands will ruin it otherwise. -
Don't forget how much noise plays a part in the experience of it all. Tends to clouds your judgement. Take the CSL for instance.

I'm a dumbass and might have been talking about the wrong thing. Does it still have the foam attached to the carpet ( underlay stuff )? That's what I need, not the butanoyl type sound deadening. And i'm assuming all E30 carpet is the same and this will fit my touring?
-
No, I mean how did you like the setup? Was it Touring or Sport?
-
How did you find the H&R Cup kit?
-
Need the sound deadening as well.
-
Should have happened 20 years ago.
-
Is OP in Christchurch? Keen on the carpet... Does it have the sound deadening? Any decent estimate on shipping?
-
Yep, nice car dude. GLWS. And to take the creepyness up a notch, do you live around Freemans Bay? Seemed to see this, and your old E30 around a lot.

Thanks guys. Gonna be a long, shitty day tomorrow I can tell. How do you take of the door sill trim? I've got the actual sill trim off ( it just clips off ) but the piece on the top lip of the sill that goes over the carpet. Edit: Just checked the elephant trunk, that sucka was blocked completely. Is this "likely" the cause of the issue? The sunroof drains appear to be fine, and there are no noticeable gaps in the firewall ( slave seals etc )? What would be happening if this trunk was causing it? Where is the water backing up to and where would it be entering the cabin? And finally, what's the best way to dry out the carpets and footwell?
-
Yeah I've taken the clip out, I meant how do you unclip it from the floor?
-
Has the sunroof, it the drain appears to be draining normally. Have taken some of the carpet away ( can't figure out how to take the accelerator off? ) and its not damp, it's SOAKING.
-
There's a leak somewhere. Any likely places other than a hole in the floor? None of the sides seem damp, just the bottom, and most damp around the pedals, probably just due to the slope.

Dark grey? Saw it this morning on the motorway in Wairau Valley.

I think my final setup will be close to the club touring. I don't mind the stiffness, i'm willing to sacrifice the comfort. And I want more of a drop so it sits a bit better visually.

Close to $360, but a little bit more I think. I've priced them recently for my E30 touring. Am going to go with those Koni's and some new springs, the same as is on the car club touring. Ernst was going to find out where the springs on the rear came from as he seems to recall they came from overseas. I've currently got Bilstein with king springs, but it's too soft for my liking. The rear end bobs around ( but I suspect these may have had it ).

Black E39 M5 BHF225 coming across the harbour bridge this morning.

The driving days are contracted out to Mike Eadys (sp?) company I think, but the M3 launch day at Taupo whilst probably handled by an outside company, the guest list was certainly handled by the dealers.
