    I got it running. Now appears to drive fine, just idle hunts between 1k and 1.5k. And now it looks like the alternator has died But at least it runs

    Ended up climbing into the engine bay of the 525e, and yes there is enough space in there with the m20

    Hopefully I'll have something driving... I'll refrain from putting a time frame on it because we know how good I am at sticking to them. But between you and me I'm secretly hoping New Years. But I'll reserve judgement till I'm taking it for a wof. As it sits it's currently got the gearbox and flywheel off as well as the engine de-loomed.

    So a rust repaired non original engine manual converted m535i, vs a mint 525e shell with everything moved across. Both most likely repainted.

    As per the title. What are peoples thoughts on what m535i e28s are worth both in general and compared to say a 525e converted to m535i spec.

    The short answer is an e30 loom doesn't fit, and (I'm pretty sure) every e28 except the super eta is motronic 1.0. I need a 1.1/1.3 loom, so rather than fighting with an e30 loom I'd like easy solution...
