@Olaf I’ve been considering it. It would be my 3rd m30. This one is likely to be he easiest to get installed though
-
These were on my e46 when I purchased it, now surplus to requirements. There is some curbing, the 2 tyres included are fairy sad and one of the wheels is a tad square... Located in Wellington. Thinking $100? Let me know if I’m way off.

Do you know what it’s for?

It’s like a reverse sleeper, it can (kinda) talk the talk, but can’t walk the walk. Needs a lot more poke than a 328i to back up the out there looks
-
After an e46 convertible boot, ideally in Cosmos Schwartz black and semi-dressed (Don't need lights, but would like the interior)

FYI, @balancerider the link could be handy

Oops, I forgot you had L jet rather than early motronic

Checked your ICV? If you adjusted the idle with the throttle body stop that’s not really recommend and will explain the higher idle once it’s warmed up. The idle is supposed to be constant and controlled by the ICV, assuming it’s working properly it acts as a secondary throttle allowing more air in. However it can’t decrease the amount of air lower than what the throttle body lets in. Which is why the idle speed will increase once warmed up if the throttle stop is open too far. (That or something silly like what happened to me where my alternator belt snapped and the idle raised to 1500 RPM, but you’d notice that)

And I thought my M535i was bad!

E46 330/5 flywheel/clutch Replacement Suggestions
eliongater replied to eliongater's topic in Maintenance
Went with the speed factor stage 1.5 kit in the end. Was a bit disappointing initially, but much better now that it’s bedded in. -
Ah, that towing frame would make a world of difference. I’ll stop detailing your thread now. Thanks

If it’s from an e34 it’s highly likely it does not have the right mounts. Early e32, maybe and late e24 will have the mounts. Easiest way is to look at the engine arm mounts on the block and upload a photo. Did you also say you had another block kicking around? (I also wouldn’t recommend an e28 as a tow vehicle, there’s nothing solid in the rear end to mount a tow bar to, the factory one is only rated for 900Kg braked from memory)

I have no idea where mine are, so can’t compare them. Also not planning on selling them @Contrails

87 E28 tail light bulb holders for brake lights etc.
eliongater replied to swapsndeals's topic in Want to buy
Sorry for the slight hijack (I do have some bulb holders, no idea where in the shed though). @FIAT 131R I’d be keen on the fog lights. -
Send me a PM if you want to have a drive of my ETA, the suspension is pretty sad (currently deciding how deep down that rabbit hole I go), but it still accelerates fine. Always happy to talk to another E28 enthusiast also.

What's the general state of your electrical system? I know with mine before I replaced the battery all sorts of weird things were happening (RPM gauge moved when you turned the indicator on, most amusing). Check you're getting at 12V at the fuel pump? https://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?1051022-3000-rpm-R3v-limiter I might be able to sort something on the ECU front.

The engine mount bolt holes on an M30B35 from an e34 do not line up with a B34 from an e28, which means it is not a drop in swap. (Need a custom engine mount arm)

"End of life" NZ new E92 335i manual (Turners)
eliongater replied to Golfboy666GTI's topic in TradeMe discussions
@Michael. based on how we look after cars here, that's probably true... -
I believe I have a set of both E28 and E30 somewhere, will have a look and see if they're the same

Tyre Size for E36 M3 M double-spoke Style 22
eliongater replied to nzsapper's topic in General Discussion
@Olaf I'd forgotten about the profile, I only got as far as the width being off, yeah 245/45 is way too tall, even for an 8.5" rim, it should be 245/40 if anything. I second that this tyre guy might not quite understand the nuances of tyres in this situation. -
Tyre Size for E36 M3 M double-spoke Style 22
eliongater replied to nzsapper's topic in General Discussion
17x7.5 et41? 245 seems too big and might look a bit balloon like, and is fitted to e46/36 17x8.5 wheels. According to this site what you have already (235/40R17) is the OEM size. Changing from that will alter your speedometer reading slightly. Personally I’d stick with the OEM size https://bimmertips.com/oem-bmw-e36-m3-wheel-opitions-specs/ -
I should be able to help out for some of those
