  1. Re which I like the best : today.. Well the E39 is the go to Daily and Hammer it in the hills, the E38 is the weekend cruiser and the E61 does everything and gets you there quickest. Sum it up, and pretty much in my order of favourites.... E38 - Cheapest, quietest and the one we are taking on a 2000km SI trip, sit back relax and smash the distance out. E39 - Daily sporty lots of fun, noisier then the E38 for trips though E61 - Sporty and bigger, not as much character as the E39, Technological tour de force compared to the other two
  2. $750 for NZ module with sat Nav as well, worth every cent
  3. Bit of a mission, good job on sorting it and the detailed explanation will always help someone else, still gotta love that E39 though right?
  4. Spotted, also. Thought it was a pretty good deal all-round. NZ New, Motorsport. Figured this would be a good price for a petrol at these kms. let alone a diesel
  5. Listing it and selling it are two quite different things, cant blame them for trying. Can blame someone for buying
  6. BMW NZ ended up way cheaper then overseas, I'll find the part number and send you it
  7. Pics don't really do justice to the overall improvement factor, very happy
  8. Windscreen upper seal ripped out and replaced, about 10min and then 30 min cleaning up all the old silicon from the PO who figured it was easier to do that then replace it, heaps better $42. Lower windscreen cowl under wipers replaced, total fallen apart and perished like BMW plastics do, $128. Pretty simple, hardest getting the wipers off.
  9. E38 upper windscreen seal replaced, as was the cowl under the wipers, massive improvement in tidying up the screen. $170 well spent thank you BMW NZ
  10. Yip agree 15, list at 17k. It is an 05, but again hitting M3 territory and mileage isn't that great
  11. Very nice Barry, that E28 makes me cry its so good looking
  12. Damn they look good !!!!!!! Kinda retro cool look

That must have been separate Limo AC in the rear, the standard rear outlets are there and work pretty damn good to be honest, nothing like a separate unit would be and mind you its as big as a house in the back so would probably need more then just that. Bit weird being what it is as well LOL
  14. So I was thinking of given the 740 a bit of a suspension refresh, keeping stock just replacing tired components. Lots of info about E38.org and you tube etc. and still have a bit of research to do. Any thoughts, concerns? Steering is a bit drifty ATM, loads up nicely in the corners but tends to not settle on centre. I'm thing 212ks, control arms upper and lower? Never really done much work myself so looking for any feedback. Likely I'm keeping this for a while so a bit of therapy on the front won't hurt even if the cost starts to get out of proportion to the cost of the old girl.
  15. Got my LED halo upgrades on trade me pretty reasonable. Not sure on cornering light details
  16. Nice, makes sense. Remember to lock the car twice to turn the interior alarm off if you leave the dog in the car , if you have a dog, lol
  17. Nice work Ryan, awesome look and LCI as well? Not sure what the vents are, could be just for some air around the sunroof??

Now that's closer, had it listed for $22 for a while then $18, at least this is closer to the mark, pretty specialised market though Personally bit big for me but good wedding car for the money ??
  19. Looks sharp Luke, welcome. Love that rear three quarter view
  20. No time wasters, but that's all he's been doing the whole time
