  1. Selling buying, em still bloody tempted on it, have to move the E61 I think, keep more retro
  2. I've driven this particular car and are very tempted, still needs some body and window trim work, but very nice spec and hard to get in Msport trim, hence this one is ex Japan
  3. If your interested my 2006 E62 550 M-sport is also on the market, 66ks and $24k, was going to keep it, but relocating, company car and just sitting there won't do it or me any good
  4. Matts going for five fives, now
  5. Sold Thankfully to MattA to join his E34 540 and his E61. Glad it's going to a great home, cheers
  6. Cheers Olaf, Dairy makes the move. Fonterra Regional Distribution Manager so I've got sites all over the lower north island to cover, figured NPL would be a good base, sounds like it. Always up for a trip further south for a few meets as well. Appreciate the feedback
  7. Lazy lazy lazy, that's generally the problem. Lots of Kiwi businesses won't go out of their way. In saying that if they do yip I'll support them as well. Every overseas purchase I've made has been a positive one, maybe I've been lucky, can't say the same for kiwi co dealings. Good Ol customer service can't be bettered, online or in person, that's what the focus should be from more kiwi businesses instead of whinging
  8. Haha, yeah felt like it, clayed, compound, Polish, then waxed, twice
  9. We are moving to Taranaki for work. Looking to get somewhere between Stratford and New Plymouth. Looking for any advice on living around the area from any of you locals Once we get sorted will look to see what meets we have around the place to start up. Likely moving in Early April, BTW anybody wants an E39 or E61 check out the for sales
  10. Updated price *** $24k and listed on Trademe Super low kms E61 550i. Just under 67000 kms. Averages on 10L per 100kms from the 360bhp 5L V8. Really a beast of a wagon that is subtly hiding in motorsport kit and suspension. Definite wolf in sheep's clothing. $24000, build date is 25/10/2006 just before LCI. VIN CR95647 Loaded with extras, rear window blinds, full length double sunroof, Xenon adaptive headlights turn with steering. LED upgrade for halos. Full Msport suspension and kit. Full comfort seats with about 20 way control for both sides in front and both sides have memory settings. Had full I drive upgrade for Sat Nav/ NZ RDS Radio. also included Bluetooth phone connection module which also gives full IPOD integration and control as well, this is total $2400 work. No run flats, all removed. Was no spare being a can of goo so invested in a factory space saver and associated kit for 100% perfect fit in boot space, $600 thanks BMWNZ.
  11. OK as I write this a piece of me inside dies. but a new company car, relocating to Taranaki and garage space limited means it needs to move on to where it will be used. As most of you know I've put $3600 into sorting and reconditioning the air-con, otherwise mechanically the car is great with plenty of preventative work already done. Only thing I was going to do was tint it out. The exhaust is subtle yet very pleasant. Makes a great daily 155ks $8000, Listed on trademe 1048553148
  12. I can see why they crashed with that on the roof !!
  13. Buy mine and convert it, or keep it auto, still a hoot!
  14. Welcome, I'm going to be moving to the Naki next month. Got to love those E39s. Yours is looking sharp and good show getting the last of the make
  15. Interestingly there where almost about the same amount manufactured of both E39 and E60/61 combined. I believe it'll be the maintenance costs mainly, and the E39 is manual only with supply now very limited, demand will push prices only one way. Having got both models, but not Ms, the E39 has more character but the E61 is a better car. Then I have the benefit of comparing V8s only
  16. Joys of living in Morri, not a bad spot and lands pretty cheap, compared to north of cause
  17. Welcome Ben, love that E28, has to be one in my future somewhere, well done and look forward to see how it progresses
  18. And some updated pics of the E39 ...
  19. Some pics of the girls cleaned up
  20. This happens so often doesn't it, the general knowledge around what a M spec car and an M5 is rubbish, zero excuse for advertising as such though.
  21. Wicked, made out of unobtainium, bet none come to NZ
  22. Welcome, gotta love that E39 experience . Looks really sharp
  23. I like it, nice example. FL and all, very tempting GLWS
  24. Nice round trip to New Plymouth and down to Hawera then back home. 700ks and a tank of gas, can't complain at all. Naki must breed E38s, spotted about 5 on the way round. The more and more I drive this car, the more I love it's open road style, pretty much 12 hours with stops and crap, but body still felt great getting out and drives so damn well, even through all the twisties of SH3. Left plenty behind and just does it effortlessly Transmission fluid and filter sitting waiting doing next weekend then we are all ready for a nice SI trip over Easter :)
