LOL, there's a converted manual 530i silver on sale on the BMW page on facebook. I am guessing this is the one? He's asking 11k.
-
True. I think I am confusing this one with the one Hell BM put up for Auction a few months ago.
-
I am pretty sure I remember this selling for around the 8k mark.
-
G'day folks, I am pretty sure this car is a Hell BM conversion and not an original. Didn't this sell for around the 7-8k mark a few months ago? http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-1112885810.htm

Worth it for an E30 M325i especially if it's original. But 12k = one E39 540i with some spare cash as well.
-
Looks mint and pretty original minus the steering wheel. Hopefully, it goes to a forum member and not to the 'dapper' crowd.

I just had Bilstein sports installed in all corners. And what a huge difference from the stock suspension! Earlier with the lowering springs, the car felt harsh. On top of that the ABS light came ON and it started making some weird spinning noises around 45kph. But as soon as the new shocks went in, it is so much more smoother but ABS light is gone OFF and so has noise at 45kph. The car is sits a tad higher but it feels spot on.

E28 M5/535i Rubber Engine mounts Or Aftermarket
Contrails replied to Scrambler's topic in Want to buy
Mate, in all honesty, ebay is the best place or turnermotorsport. I was after a full set of Bilstein B8 and I was quoted $1800+GST for them here in NZ along with a 3 month wait as they had to be ordered from Germany and would arrive by sea freight. I ordered them from turner motorsport, cost me $1250 with shipping and customs charges and they arrived within a week.- 1 reply

Well other than driving experience, there's also the fact that the E30 M3, E28 M5 and E34 M5 were hand built in Munich.
-
For 56k you could almost get an E30 M3 (in ok condition)/E28 M5/E34 M5 special edition/E24 M6. My point being, is the Z3M coupe in the same league as these cars now in regards to rarity and desirability?

Cheers Glenn, will keep in touch if I like the car. PPI is definitely on the list.

http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-1106175097.htm Anyone know this car? $7900 seems a little steep. But will go check it out this weekend.
-
Is that a Nurburgring edition?

Anyone planning on checking it out? I would be keen to go for a drive.

I just fitted Safebrake braided lines to the E28. It has definitely improved the pedal feel. Passed the WoF with no issues with them. -
How about the E39 M5 instead? Plenty of 'M' performance. Edit: Didn't realise you needed an auto as your wife would want to drive too. Still get an E39 M5, .

E28 Custom springs (Dinan Copies)
Contrails replied to Contrails's topic in Brakes, Suspension & Steering
Prices seem to be everywhere. Archers springs quoted $280 + GST. Suspension Tech gave a quote of $600! I also enquired about valved matched Bilstein Sports, $480 a side up front and $350 a side rear . Edit: I went online on turnermotorsport. Set of four Bilstein sports including shipping to NZ, $970 NZD! Boom. -
G'day everyone, I am thinking of getting some custom made springs for the E28. Now I know there are plenty of springs available but the ones to really get are Dinan Springs. Unfortunately, Dinan does not sell these anymore. I am enquiring about the Dinan Spring Specs on mye28.com and I have some info on these. The plan is to hopefully use the info provided and get springs made to the same specs. Now, there's a few of us with E28s. Would anyone else be interested in a group buy? I will find out if they can actually make the springs to Dinan Spec and how much would it cost and then update everyone. Also, does any have Dinan springs on their E24/E28? Regards

Hi everyone, I am looking for the front right wheel ABS speed sensor black wire for an E28. Thanks

I just bought a set for my E28. I will be putting these on next week. Will update you then. I am sure there are others who are already using them.
