  1. Those pics are huuuuuuuuge!! Took me about 5 mins to scroll across to reply:lol: you should resize before a mod pulls them down!
  2. That's true but plenty of youtube vids now you can watch! My first time i had to redo my car twice as first time i thinned it too much then 2nd time i never wet sanded enough...lessons lived and learned. 200 slides does sound like a lot of $$ for a litre, when i painted my Subby i got a litre metalic pearl black for about 130 from Wrens down here.
  3. I used to have "urabus" Subaru backwards...sold it to a boy racer in 08 for 2k...paid 400 for it 4 months earlier...yus
  4. Goes to show exactly what i said!!! you can get huge power out of small engines just how much coin you want to part with!!! Smaller engines do have advantages over the bigger blocks...i'm fairly sure those F1 turbos kicked in at around 8-10000rpm and were only banned because they went TOO fast and the non turbo runners were getting blitzed. How about V8 Supercars...remember Skaife and the Nissan's, destroying every other car in their wake...then promptly getting banned from supercars... Useless you say. how so???
  5. Just an observation, but with the darker door card i wouldn't think it possible to make it lighter by dying...maybe painted, but i wouldn't think they would come up very good going from other painted interiors i have seen! a little ot but where can you get the cloth inserts redone??? the previous owner made a hash of mine and now i can see glue through them, can't seem to find anyone down here that does them...reasonably!!
  6. Would be interested to see these on a car before making a judgement...anyone wanna buy then post a pic
  7. 3 letters DIY Will save you plenty of $$ and what you will learn will be invaluable down the track...my 0.2
  8. They were getting 700kw out of those 1500cc F1 cars...goes to show it's not the size of the engine but how much $$ you want to spend... I think if you have the cash to do it, do it...personally i wouldn't but each to their own.
  9. Mine on standard springs sit alright on 18's, only thing i dislike is the front seems slightly high and lows and super lows may cause me too many issues. So i may be looking at adjustables...oh god $$$
  10. Are you able to just put lows on the front? don't know how this would effect handling.
  11. Those should fit nicely...my main problem was with the fronts and the rubber touching the sway bar supports, you shouldnt have any of those issues apart from the tyre hitting the outside guards when lowered. Check out the wheels and tyre section theres some good info on offsets and a wheel calculator.
  12. Glad to hear you got your $$ back dude!
  13. That looks just like my 318i engine
  14. What is the offset and what sized rubber are you putting on? I had trouble with the fronts rubbing on the inside a tiny bit 2-3mm but got that fixed by putting on steering locks and also had to slightly roll my rear guards...i still plan to drop it about it 20-30 mm as the stance on standard suspension is not too bad imo.
  15. Oh forgot, Danutt was selling some not long ago for $80-compressed 50mm lowering... i would have bought them but my 18x9's def would have rubbed. Here's the link...might be worth it, too pm him and see if he still has them. http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....=28960&st=0
  16. *Bump* I still have this issue...someone out there must have an idea!! Pretty please
  17. Plenty on TM at reasonable prices $60-180...was having a look last night.
  18. Why are you thinking of Nissan transplants? Bmw do some very tidy engines you know lol Welcome too bimmersport dude...plenty of guys with bmw knowledge here.
  19. Oh yeah that spoiler had to go...Welcome mate, very tidy car.
  20. I had a soarer v8 and had the same problem! Apparantly there is nothing you can do to fix this...i always had to crawl up the road in the wet as it was prone to wanting to lose the rear on the angled hill corners.
  21. The trouble with oil or silicon based products is that the gather dust very quickly always needing to redo them every few days.
  22. Welcome bro...love the color and rims, are they replicas??
