Fair comment - it is a tricky balance early in the search to hold out for a unicorn vs jumping on something excellent and 'real'.... If it was in AKL I would have definitely looked at it (its in Taupo) to get a feel for the blue interior in the flesh. Could always find and retrim a sport interior but that would be an expensive exercise. Are you familiar with the car?

Yeah, it’s got a sweet interior but price could have been pumped up a bit. I was offered a very clean 320i auto PFL ‘coupe’ for $14k and didn’t go for it. Verts a different and rarer thing obviously but not sure they are necessarily more desirable or worth a 50% premium. There’s an auto 325i vert for $35k now, will see if it sells.

@gjm I saw on FB someone who had bid on it (and had not won) was offered it? so the ‘top bid’ didn’t win or want the car 🤔

I’ve not measured but mine uses plenty of oil as well - common on these engines I thought? but as I don’t do enough kms I’ve never really worried about it. Just top up a few times between changes. Does not otherwise show any CCV symptoms smoke or anything and pulls hard. Maybe a new CCV would help but a few litres of oil is easier and cheaper 😬 O2 pilot mod is an option as well, supposed to work well, something to do with changing the vacuum so the piston rings work better? Which I understand can be a major reason for oil consumption. BMW suggest 1 litre per 1500km is ‘fine’.

Seems good as in no real difference except a little less consumption vs Edge 5w30. I tend to change my oil every 5km anyway so get what ever appropriate synth is on special.

Nice, have run a bit of the HPR5 in my M54 last two changes - seems good. Edge 5w40 was on special this time around - got 10 litres for $100.

Yeah, it’s a good road setup, much stiffer than stock but nothing like the typical 8Kg F and 12kg R spring rates you get with the ‘default’ BC Golds. I do run them on the softer side and they don’t go super low in the front - I’m basically max drop in front - a non issue if you’re not a stance guy as mine is too low anyway IMO. German KW quality as well. Got via Demontweeks in UK, $2k landed if I recall (that’s the damping adjustable XA setup - does not come with camber plates).

FYI - M3 Front bar (26mm) is direct fitment, but M3 rear bar is a no go without modifications. I'm running an M3 front bar at 26mm and an Msport Vert rear bar at 20mm - hold be able to pick up both for $300 vs paying $750+ for aftermarket. Its tighter than standard but not too stiff at all. For Suspension, I love my ST XA coilovers - nice compliant spring rates and KW twin tube dampers - rides very well, and my car is a bit too low at the moment. As you're certing anyway, coilovers could make sense? Otherwise the tried and tested H&R / Eibach with Bilstein / Koni combo.

Uncerted 120i with a high km N54 in it for $22k anyone? I’m sure it’s a weapon but not sure of the value proposition against a low km DCT E82 🤔

Sold to someone else unfortunately - so a sub 24hr sale - at least we know what a clean PFL 323i manual is worth - $17,500. I had an offer accepted but was based on including 15" weaves - they turned out to be 14" so renegotiated and it fell through - meh!
