  1. Seems just about EVERY E60 M5 owner in NZ is now a member, you’ve come to the right place
  2. Welcome! Love to see photos of the fleet esp the E30
  3. It has tidy elements; unsure why people don’t bin that hideous Japan market number plate trim immediately they buy these cars 🤷
  4. Hat off to you man 🙌 , I am at the “can change a spark plug, tyre and take dash to bits to replace blown bulbs” end of the DIY scale
  5. Sreten makes it all look so easy right? And he is usually fairly calm. When he was doing rod bearings on an M5 it made me very anxious but he nailed it! Seems a great guy
  6. Jesus, expensive? And ugly. Poor thing lol but people will still buy it
  7. I think you’re right @Sammo : If your daily needs are taken care of already by something okay, expressing yourself and interests in a second, older or fun car makes sense. I have a mint 16 year old GTI NZ new that has now done 107kms; to get into a new GTI is $60k and it will be a much better car but unsure I’d get $50k more enjoyment out of it (would really like adaptive cruise control 🤔). So with electric cars on the horizon am hanging onto the Golf for now as it is a great drive and practical. So instead of a newer car I bought an E30 for the other side of the garage. Still mulling that over tbh but it sounds feels and smells amazing and I have had four of them in the past but never a 325i. So a mix of all of your factors really come to play.
  8. They’re a specific run out model called “318iS Motorsport” at the time, has sports chassis etc and M44 engine, lots of leather and goodies of the time. Came in wild colours if you liked including this Dakar Yellow and awesome Fiji Green, as well as a dark blue and I think black/charcoal. They were quite fancy at the time , made with love in RSA 🇿🇦 . There are a few forum threads on these, some going back over a decade. They’re a fondly looked at little 4 door.
  9. Seems like a good price until the kms, I am not mechanically minded so to me it’s not looking like an opportunity, but to someone with a rough 325i already who could swapsies over things? Maybe ?
  10. Hehe you’re kind. It is a good tidy honest car, “patina” and all. I have asked it nicely to convert into a manual coupe but so far it is not having a bar of it, so am likely to be a repeat “drink and buy” offender in the future and liberate RedSE to the market or do some kind of deal
  11. Just my purchase… and I blame some of it on 🍷
  12. I think you and I know another mad hatter Harm… I have stopped drinking wine close to auction closing times 🤣
  13. Jeepers! I think I am a pedant but I really dislike MT2 rear spoilers on pre-LCI cars, especially given how delicate the back of the convertibles are styling-wise. The MT2 rear bumper’s depth helps balance it out more? But I know some people will also love it. For me if it was manual, had the factory 15” basketweaves, the subtler lip spoiler etc then in this market maybe $35k+? I suspect the seller knows this but is also chancing the possibility someone falls in love with it?
  14. You can Google it, follow settings instructions and change region code to Oceania or similar in the stereo and should take care of it for you
  15. If only it was for sale such a great car
  16. I’ll put it on my watch and wait list @_ethrty-Andy_ am sure you’ll do a good job so will be keen to see it when ready to sell; what colour is it?
  17. Ah thanks @Ghost Chip am not on Wastebook alas. Looks tidy, really don’t like the over fat wheels but they could be swapped out. I have heard some mixed views in this forum about King springs
  18. Looks tidy, is there a link to this one’s sale details anywhere?
  19. Oh wow you’re doing the hard miles, literally are you restoring to sell or keep? Or wait and see!
  20. That sounds intriguing @_ethrty-Andy_ … any photos of that work in progress?
