  2. That looks beautiful. If only all E39s looked like this I would have bought one by now.
  3. Michael.

    New Toy!

Very noice! Just needs that factory chrome grill and it will be faultless.
  4. Id imagine you could need a series of front facelift parts, including the lights... $$$ For what it's worth more cost effective to just buy a facelift E46

That has certainly come a long way. Well done!
  6. Silver E39 540i with the plate 540i MS in red going towards the Penrose motorway round about. Very nice!
  7. What the hell that is insane..... Hope these f-ers get the book slammed at them. What are they trying to achieve anyway? Pathetic!
  8. Thats correct. Unfortunately the brackets I bought and ones Josh quoted only suit the driver side which is useless because of the brake booster being there.
  9. This should be quite exciting. What upgrades are you planning for the driveshaft, diff and axles?
  10. Yeah that's the one. At the start of the year I had the opportunity to take one for a drive. It had a damage on the rear 1/4 that had damaged the chassis unfortunately but it still drove perfect. Never the less what a machine! like nothing I've driven before, virtually silent, effortless and ridiculously smooth. Build quality, finish and features are second to none. Really great car, although you would hope so when they cost something ridiculous, around $190,000 NZD. Unfortunately that car was destined to be stripped for parts... namely the motor, not sure who would need the rest of the parts being such a rare car though! Only problem is, they are a bit of a pointless car unless lots of motorway A-B trips are done (in saying that It would probably end up being a garage piece for show), certainly not a 'fun' drive like a BMW is, in that sense a M3 or M5 would be a better spend of money!
  11. Sounds like a great idea. Might be worth throwing on a medium sized turbo on that M30 while it's out.
  12. Yeah they angle down to the subframe, welded to some plates I made up to fit the contours the subframe, of which those plates are welded to the subframe. The LCA ball joint bolt also goes through part of the mount plate Yeah, I probably should have done it the reverse for header space and heat reasons. Theres a similar conversion like mine around Auckland, they did it that way. To compensate for the heat, I have heat wrap on the exhaust headers (which is slowly cooking my factory stainless manifolds to death I believe...) so they heat is pretty minimal from them. Around the mount points I've put an alloy heat shield to block the radiant heat, these are also covered in this special heat reflective DEI tape which seems to work very well when I did some tests with it. I've actually used some red Nolathane bushes that suit the rear control arms of a Toyota AE86! They are pretty hard, something like 90 shore... who knows how long the will last before they go brittle from the heat, I've been inspecting them and they seem fine so far. I could also use Toyota AE86 TRD rubber bushes, but I will see how these go first.
  13. My brake booster is on the driver side, coolant tank wants to go go on the passenger side...
  14. Cheers Josh. I actually have all those parts. The trouble is they seem to fit it where my Brake Booster is.... the American E36/E30 owners use these parts for their M3 Coolant tank conversion. So not really any use on a RHD version. Hmmmm
  15. I'll have to give you a bell some time Glenn
  16. Who can supply me these types of clamps? I could do with half a dozen.
  17. If you could find out Josh that would be a big help. In the meantime seeing what Ray has off some old M3 shells might be the best way to go.
  18. Michael.

    HELL M3

Look at all these beautiful machines!
