    1998 318 TI Mtech

yes, I'm somewhat interested, depending on the price though....
  4. maybe you are right, maybe i'm confusing front and rear (front is thicker...)
  5. I wouldnt be so sure. If you are ordering rear swaybar bushings they ask you what size, and the available ones are (if memory serves me right) 14, 16 and 18mm. and I know for a fact that 325iX oem rear swaybar is 19mm (thats what the boys in states put on their e30's) once I find out exacly, I'll let you guys know.
  6. Hello. as title says, i'm after e30 rear swaybar. I'm looking for the thickest OEM one, which i believe is 18mm (plz correct meif I'm wrong). I'm in auckland. Thanks in advance, Mops.

    Ireland Urethane

Allright. I got some random ebay urethane rear subframe bushes and they look ok. I'm just looking to get trailing arm bushes and possibly rear swaybar bushes. I called Stocks in auckland but they want $154+GST for trailing rms and $24+GST for rear swarybr-chasis. I'll try this dude in chchch and see whether he still does specials for e30 class cars....
  9. pick fo the gti ! always wanted one ! is it fuel injected or carbed ? single or twincam ?
  10. I'm keen for the rocker cover. $20 ? Does it use the same rocker cover gasket as stock m20 rocker cover gasket ?

    Ireland Urethane

thanks for the info. I think i called them before but they wanted $154+GST for rear trailing arm kit? rear subframe are so *PITA* to find. I got no clue where to get them (short of ordering them custom made for $110+ each). I might just get stock ones, depending on how much are they.... any idea how much stock ones are going for ?

    Ireland Urethane

how much were rear subframe ? funny, i called stock but they said they do not sell rear subframe busches ? can you guys plz advice where to get it all asap (wanna do it over xmas break). I basiucally need all rear urethane busches - subframe, trailing arms, swaybar link and swaybar chasis... complete set.... oh yeah, regarding Ireland engineering. TWO WEEKS AGO I have ordered a wastegate from US ebay shop and set uf busched from IE. wastegate arrived in 5 days (awesome). IE didnt process my order for 2 weeks now. I have ordered through their secure website, paid by CC, emailed them 3 times already and NO reply whatsoever. funny thing is, before I ordered, I emailed them whether they ship to NZ and their were replying within usually 24 hours.... I just dont know what to say really... will call that stock number abouve and order some too and find out what price they will give me.

    M40 318 Manual Radiator

pic ? how bit is it compared to e30 325i stock rad ? i'm basically looking for an upgrade for e30 - a biggest one that will fit. aparently e36 is pretty good size and aswell e34 are good too. is it alloy ?
  19. that surly sux man. i hope you get it all sorted. Im not sure how valid/legal that is, but I always ask owners whether there is any money owing on the vehicle, and on the final aggrement, I make him put it down on paper and sign.

    Real Deal M5

come one, stop teasing.... any piccys ? seriously, how many k's on the thing, any rust ? what what $$$ are you after ?
  21. 185rwhp is trully impressive result form that setup. anyways, i'm trying to download that link map from http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....779&hl=link , but there seems to be an error - file missing...
  22. and i just have trouble locating medium case lsd....
  23. indeed, afm is a major restriction, but as I see in my datalogs stock afm limits manifold pressure only by about max of 5 kpa, and only at peak torque, which is roughly 5% of total air intake, possibly about 5% of toruq there.... so you say huge gains, can you describe exacly how much you got over stock ? only link of some other mods (afm removal obviously) ? what was the total power incerase from stock (if you took that reading) ? i suppose with link (or any other exu for that matter) and afm removal and possibly exhaustand timing advance up to near limit of 98 pump gas, I estimate 5-7% across the board can be achieved. what were your results ? i'm not trying to argue or be a smart a$$, but i'm geniuenly interested on the details. IMHO, it's not really power gain, but rather recovering/restoring lost power over the engine life due to wear/carbon deposits + tuning for better fuel. i also noticed m20b25 runs really retarded at peak torque, probably to make the powerband feel smoother to the redline. it is normaly for these engines to retard at peak torque, because of the combustion chamber design they are knock limited in that area... one might argue they are made efficiently.. i dont want to start a debate here. if you had your link timing map handy, it would be really cool if you cold post it here just wot values or the screenshot of the whole thing...
  24. linnk will not give you much more power, and certainly not more than something liek Jon Conforti chip. Basically after tuning fuel tables (tuning fuel does not give you more power) you will be able to run some more timing than stoc ecu, and that is the same as performance chip. you really have to think what are your goals. if you just want to spend little $$$ then go with a pod filter, better exhaust and a chip, with 98 fuel and always keep some octane booster on hand, in case you get a poor batch of fuel. JCchip is (i think) tuned for 100 super fuel (europe best fuel) and because of that it advances timing about 7 degrees across the board (at wot), but out shitty fuel wont handle that timing... unless you are prepared to drive constantly on octane booster or toulene or avgas (quite possibly, similat price to normal fuel, 110 octane, but your oxygen sensor will die rather quick incerasing fuel consumption). I know what i'm talking about, i have myself installed and tuned megasquirt ecu. if you are thingkinlike this: now i have a some money and later (when i get some money) i'd like something major deon (either or cams, short tunner intake manifold, long tube headers, turbo high compression pistons), then dont waste your money on chip, just get link now. or other ecu. i run megasquirt for example.
  25. ok, ok that sounds interesting.... so e28 m30 engine mounts, ok, no problem there... e21 brake booster, no problem there either... but if i wanted to recondition one... you can fix the rust and stuff, what about the rubber diaphgarm inside... wouldnt it be cranked and stuff (cos it's old) ? e36 arms... which arms are you talking about ? front steering arms or what ? (sorry, not too knowledgable in the suspension department) and the tranny mount, or better yet e36 tranny - that would be a straight fir, right ? sounds too easy....
