I thought it was actually his car, thus the reluctance to sell & price. But it doesn't look like it given no KM's have elapsed.
-
And it's been on the yard since 2005!! They are just around the corner from me, and have perused it several times. There is a nice Volvo V70R at Brendon Foot that has grabbed my attention however, bit OT sorry.

E34 for me. You can still tinker/service/maintain/mod DIY with ease. E39+ = electronic gizzmo this that and every other thing, fancy vanos hu-ha.....

What a coincidence, I was just looking through this one on Tuesday!! TA63 Group B Celica

I'm trying to find the "The Incredible Machine" for OSX

I think it was quite an accurate comment then! As a 320 "Seems" similar to a 328 (if not the same when you haven't driven them)!!! I was under the impression the MY-01 was a replacement for the G-III (which was a good tyre) and the RE-001 was a replacement for the RE-711 (which was a great tyre)
-
I haven't driven on the RE-001's but they seem to fit the "dress-up" market along with the MY-01. we had the RE-050's on our old EVO factory fitted, and they were a good tyre, wore well & stuck well. I had Conti-Sport Contact & Sport Contact II's on my BMW and loved them. Wet traction was well above the Jap tyres & they were a lot quieter (quietest tyres I've driven on). Dry traction was similar to the B'stones, but they didn't take to well to track abuse (but what road tyres do really!) The BMW currently has RE-070r's which stick amazing, but are v.noisy & wear fast. The wifes Altezza has Dunlop DZ-101 which are good all rounders and value for $$

WORK HOME Youtube is exceptionally slow tonight though, grrr
-
Have you contacted iForged directly?? They have the order form online: PDF
-
Old news. Surely would have come across 368s.com over the years??? The yellow one was the business!!
-
Yeh. But as a 2nd set along side the 'weaves not a replacement for. And get some "flat caps" for the centres
-
Have you got the strut reinforcement plates?? If not, grab a pair, they sit under the strut tower and help spread the load from the strut bearing.
-
Are you sure!?!?! I got mine for $270ea incl gst & shipping (akl-wgtn). IIRC they were only ~$35ea more than stock CA's
-
There are a few Audi RS6's around for reasonable $$ at the moment, not the current model, the 4.2 V8 Bi-Turbo (circa 2003). A few from TradeMe...
-
How come you are looking at a MLS head gasket if you are O-ringing the head/block?? The point of O-ringing is to retain the fire rings in a stock style HG using the wire that sits in the O-ring groove.

That, and it looks like it has a Std E30 instrument cluster, prob. from a 318 for the tacho to work!?!?!
-
Nice, now for a vid!!! Not sure what your budget is looking like these days but.... You better put these on your watch list!!! phat rubber I wonder how conservative the ignition timing is under 4Krpm??? It shouldn't be that laggy with a 0.63 turbine housing and as CAMB mentioned may be choking the topend. Not that 270kw is anything to sniff at.

+2 Was wondering if someone was taking the p!ss ie. "Pro" telemarketers or if there were any benefits (pro's vs con's) to telemarketing LOL, must be a slow day 'cause I did click on the link to find out... AND to my surprise telemarketers can also ski!?!?!?
-
Funnily enough, it should hopefully look a bit more E30 when it's done this time. From the outside that is... Geez thanks Sam, you made me blush The rear coilovers where done in '06 iirc, they work pretty well. Took a bit of maths to get the tender/main combo.
-
LOL, well it is looking more complete than the E30 right now isn't it!!! I may have a pic in the archives somewhere even.......
-
Dang, that is thick!! Sounds like an almost sketchy setup... Were you not tempted to keep the stock CR & run less boost? A nice option to have up your sleeve anyway! 0.84 is a common size to use on GT3*R's on 2.5l 6cyls Have seen 1JZ's running 1.06's even (drag cars rev'ing to +8k with big cams though) Just be V.careful when you do take it for a spin!! I recall scaring the begeezaz out of myself most times I pull the E30 out of hibernation.
-
It is the RPM you start seeing boost pressure. Name's Glenn BTW. 4500rpm is really high esp. if you're running a 0.63 t-hsg!! What about boost control?? EBC?? or Manual?? or via the Link? I have a couple of other graphs from RB25's one running a GT3076R (aka GT30) the other a GT3582R (aka 3540) both with 0.84 t-hsg's. Both are quite similar to your graph with poor low-end torque. Yeah, my graphs are on the stock twins. They do have their place but you loose out on topend flow, even on a stock-ish setup. It is still pretty savage when it comes on boost, I can only imagine what yours is going to feel like!! Best start saving for some wide sticky tyres for those 10" rims!!! You can only do so many skids before getting bored!! I'm surprised the HG drops the CR so much, is there a chance the cam timing is out also?? What have you done with the VANOS control?? That could be affecting the low-end torque? The GT3540 should flow more than enough to keep the graph climbing at much the same rate. I wouldn't be surprised to see 300kw using the full rev range, might need a touch more boost maybe. Keep us posted on how the tuning comes along!! Try and get some more meat under those curves!!
-
Hopefully not!?!?! with the HX35 having smaller wheels both ends & a twin scroll turbine hsg / manifold, but time will tell... Luke, What A/R t-hsg. are you running 0.84?? Have you got the boost log/graph?? What are you using for boost control??

I thought I would have a play with your Dyno plot & overlay it onto mine (given same capacity, bore & stroke). They are a bit rough as I'm not much of a photoshop wizz and stretching & scaling to match... Quite interesting to see where the differences are I thought. I know you are still in the early days of tuning, so this may even be of some use!?!?! Parts I found fascinating: @3000rpm the stock 1JZ has full torque ~400Nm Vs the M50 @ 240Nm @3000rpm the stock 1JZ has ~120Kw Vs the M50 @ ~80Kw In the real world for my E30 this means monstrous 4th gear +100kph roll-ons (ie overtaking) And of more use is 3rd gear pulling out of the hairpin at Manfield. The 1JZ makes full boost (stock 12psi) by 3000rpm, looks like the GT35R is closer to 4500rpm?? Obviously the stock 1JZ twins run-out of puff ~5500rpm = gheyness!! I would have expected the M50 to be making more TQ & HP in the 2000-3000rpm range based on it being an NA engine with higher compression than the 1JZ (8.5:1), but in saying that, I think the 1JZ may have ~4lbs of boost @2000rpm so would likely make up for that!?!?! Will be interesting to see what the Holset I have does to the curves, somewhere in between I'd say.

Only that you have 50% more cubes than most of the other turbo projects LOL Can't wait to see some dyno numbers (esp. the phat-ass torque curve!!!)
