I agree, they have all aged well and have a perfect old\new balance. Ive met quite a few people who thought my E34 came out in mid 90's. E39's still look good but are too common to really stand out.
-
Nice, the red and black combo looks sweet too.
-
I dont mind wood trim either but for me its the fact that this looks incomplete, half done. If it had wood door trims, knob etc it would look better, but imo E31's are too modern to pull off a wood steering wheel.

Exactly, its only on the intake. Ive seen a couple of dyno's showing the vanos M62 pulls better to about 3500rpm after that the non vanos M62 surpasses it and makes more power.

Tuned M62B44 non vanos with M60 heads\intake manifold and possibly some headers.

Dyno it before and after and post results

Doubt it would take 7.5L, thats near V8 capacity. I use Penrite 10W40 full synthetic, well priced too.

Im shooting a couple or so every night atm

Good to hear. Those specs are pretty similar to mine and im also running 1" bump steer plates too. What front swaybar are you running?
-
Was going to say its not that expensive, but that was before i noticed he is trying to pass it off as an M-sport.

Problem i find with R129's is most are way over priced and early 4 speed models. I'm still upset that awhile back i missed out on a very tidy, well priced, '96 model with panoramic roof. Nice cars though

Looks fine. I wouldn't worry about trying to clean the cover.

Haha. The only thing that id consider easier to do on M70 is changing the water pump and possibly drive belts. I do agree about the V12 though, love the starter motor noise too.

Ive got a kit for one i pulled out of an old gear knob if you want it, was more a reddish orange iirc
-
I run them on the E34 for better turn in and increased traction, but whilst they are fine on smooth roads they're harsh and noisy on bad roads with rough seal, bumps etc. Probably going to get rid of them shortly. The Ireland Engineering adjustable type ones that use the stock strut mounts are probably better for std street car, they do raise the front slightly though, but i used to run them on my old E30 without issue.

Someone who wants something a bit different. WhiIe i respect the E36 M3 i have no desire to own one,

Id be surprised here has experience tuning your car\motor. For 3k i wouldn't bother myself, gains on N\A 1.6L BMW aren't going to be very good.
-
Same could be said for most std cars on the road. I cant recall ever seeing an old man\woman driving a E38, usually driving the newer BMW's if anything. A stock E30 could be considered an old mans\ woman's car, but lower it and chuck some decent rims on it and it aint anymore, works for many cars. Prius's look ok compared to some of the cars i can think of... Pontiac Aztek comes to mind.
-
Clearly your Mrs has no idea what an ugly car actually looks like. I prefer a the looks of a E38 with a nice body kit and a little lowering to the E39 equivalent.
-
They have more room in general especially rear leg room so more comfortable long journeys, longer wheelbase helps with this and ride quality. You can carry some pretty long objects in an E38 iL's too. Sure they don't handle as good as 3 and 5 series but they actually are surprising decent, they just a heavier 5 series at the end of the day. I took mine to the track and had certainly more fun in it, probably more than i would have had with a 318i auto or similar

A lot of bits and pieces that may be of interest. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Members/Listings.aspx?member=4820255

At nearly 3x the price it better the best std 540i on Earth Regardless i agree with the comments above, having an ad like that on trademe your asking for speculation.

I dont know whats so special about M5 interior compared to std motorsport, apart from the colour options.
