Alot of if's. Its obviously been neglected(hopefully only body) and the low k's may or may not be a good thing. No doubt a proper inspection will give a better idea. I don't like the colour personally.
-
Seems to me you'd be better off buying one in decent condition for not much more.
-
Looks std to me. Was someone on this forums that wanted one iirc. Looks tough as, GLWS.
-
Sure it may be harder to sell but if you can get it for a good price, you'd probably loose less. You usually pay a premium for some arbitrary numbers. Comes down to the car too, a 300,000km E30 M3 in good nick is still going to have value, and maybe even easier to sell due to the price.

Manual is always the better option. After owning a 540i6, there's no way id ever consider buying an auto version anymore. You should of bought mine

Used my old mans 1\2 Stahlwille with an extension pipe on my M30 crank nut, handled it no worries. The best part is he found it on the side of the road in the 80's, so owes him nothing if it breaks,
-
Guess it depends on your definition, to me they aren't expensive on the grand scale of things. Ive probably spent 1.5k on my M30 doing the same type of thing as you.
-
Only thing it needs is a manual trans
-
E32 750il aren't too complex and were built to last, the E65 is the opposite.

I am a loser badge because i couldn't get a real iL
-
Damn, would made more sense to put a 2.8L in. Nice car though, can't think of why the rear suspension would be different to any other std E34 sedan.

Exactly. The k's of engine would be the least of my concern (like every car)
-
You forgot the engine which has been modified and cost $$$$$

Westfalia Detachable Tow Bar / Hitch - E39 540i Motorsport
Eagle replied to hybrid's topic in General Discussion
Nice, i love towbars. I installed one on a E38 years ago with the OEM module and it worked like a charm. -
Sounds about right. Mine did have aircon, sunroof and a towbar which would of bumped it up a bit.
-
Only way i see it being 1990kg is if you got one fat mofo in it. I weighted one of my E34 manual 535i and it was like ~1580kg <1\2 tank of gas, no one in it
-
Don't think there any switches to tell control module if its locked or not so wouldnt think so.
-
Yeah dont buy plastic ones, break instantly. I got 4x thru a local tyre shop here for $55, they had to ring suppliers in Auckland to get them. You can get them ebay etc for cheap, but as for local you'd have to ring around or maybe else from Auckland here knows.
-
Im Assuming your central locking is working fine
-
Dont think the key can arm the system just disable it. So has the key fob has never worked at all? no led?. Did you have the fuse in when trying to resync it? Lot of possibilities, assuming the right procedure was used it can takes a few goes to get it to sync The alarm system may need to be reinitialized using software and have to keys resynced
-
You talking about these ones? 72.6>74.1
-
When you say the new key doesn't work, are you meaning the remote locking isnt working on it or the key isnt starting the car?
-
Was that from the previous or another one in the past? Usually least 1 owner who hasn't carried the bag
