Cheers Got it from Pearce Brothers Limited. Only thing it needs is new rotors soon, everything else seems well taken care of. Mate had a '89 one with 3.15 diff this has a 3.64, got the traction control light going off the line without even trying.

As its been said everyone should own a V12 once in their life .
-
Yeah. Was a bit of a gamble as i didn't view but a that price was worth the risk but its been very well looked after. Get some pics up for you Penry, nice to know someone likes them.

I just got a '92 750il for $2k. I remember they were about $220,000 new. 750's have to be one if not the fastest depreciating BMW.

My mate has a 98 E36 318is Jap Import which i assumed had a Jatco & needed appropriate fluid. We took it in for a transmission flush and filter change and my local Ex BMW mechanics and he said only 6 cylinders from Japan came with the Jatcos. He worked Coombes Johnstone for 10 years, older dude seems to know his stuff. He just replaced with Dextron 3 and its been fine as ever, not that is wasn't before thou.

Mines ok, a bit loud and little rattly and quite a firm ride on coarse seal. Very good on smooth stuff like most cars. You feel alot of of the bumps but i don't think i have much to vibration. Im running full urethane and H&R\Bilstein Sport combo so not exactly stock ride. Going 100kph+ the ride is excellent just the usual wind noise. Ive driven a few stock E30's and thought they were pretty good for and older car, certainly better than most japs of similar age.

Looks just like a Holden with a some BMW badges on it to me but you could do worse.

I used the my E34 Bentley manual and that was pretty good. They don't seem to cover bottom end thou but prob figure that out easy enough when i cbf doing it . GL anyway, least its easy to work on.
-
Are you just doing head rebuild or the bottom end too?. Personally Id just do the usual valve grind, port and polish and head skim and leave it at that, after all its only an M20. You could do a 272 Cam but depends on how much you want to spend.
-
If its really black like mine was it might take a few flushes to get all the old fluid out and have it looking nice and red. Pretty sure takes less than 1L
-
I agree. The M20 in the E34 is pretty sluggish compared to the M50. Like its been said might as well get a 535i manual. It ain't that much worse on gas, heaps more powerful and no timing belt to replace either.

Don't forget the Munroe's, will handle like a Ford should.

Mine are ET34 15x6.5. Need a 3mm spacer on the front to clear calipers unless you brake pads are worn down a bit, but looks wrong. Ive got 15mm spacers all round on mine, looks perfect

Very Nice, looks similar to mine

Yeah rims are Breytons. Glad she appreciates manuals too Gave it a good run when we were test driving. Can barely hear the engine even cruising at 5k rpm, surprised it was so damn quiet. Perfect car for a daily and defiantly be stealing it once in a while but still pref my E30 for fun factor
-
Haha yeah i know there isn't officially but it pretty much meets the specs of one
-
After a bit of persuading and test driving a few we found this. With 28,000km on the clock it drives and handles like new esp with the sports suspension.
-
Haha yeah just noticed the background

318i E46 currently running 225\35\18 P7000's which are old and low tread making them very noisy. Will prob move to 235\40\18, its on an 8 inch rim. My mother is wanting a decent tyre which is pretty quiet but still going to have a bit of grip if you need it . I notice alot of people running direzza's, are these fairly quiet?. Have been recommend the Toyo CT01 and GSD3's for a quiet tyre. Any thoughts welcome. thanks
