Yes, tinted halogens reduce output at the expense of trying to look like HIDs. HID bulbs are clear btw. Changing back to clear halogen bulbs is a good move - also, make sure to go back to 55w bulbs. I think you're right that the broken legs may be what's causing your beam problem. Let us know how you go. I suggest you pick up secondhand holders from a wrecker (or new if they don't cost too much) to make your life easier

That brings up an interesting point - why is the reserve of this M5 so reasonable compared to their previous listings? Does it not belong to them and they're helping the owner out by listing it for him?
-
Harry, they aren't the right offset for your car. These will stick out too much on an E46.

MR E34 RAPT AT NEW TUNING FIGURES.

I see the graphs now. Looks good Any change in torque before/after? -
I wish! Who wouldn't want S38B36 power... but not at this point in time. Iinteresting to hear it's Jock's old car, really hope it goes to one of us then. Do it Martyn. I think the colour and the interior are all a great combo - white is the new black

Haha! The police aren't always the ones with the power... not when you've got a missile

So... who's thinking of buying it? Looks like a bargain? http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=156732717

Good work Boris! Trying to see the pics but they won't open? -
Do replicas have a cover design as well or are they one piece? If they use covers as well then maybe you could get genuine covers to get them to spin the right way?

I've seen a few black E60 M5s. Quite a few black M6s around too.
-
WOW. Very cool. Since it's LHD and so new is it even road legal?
-
Great find Riley. I don't think you can get a better combo than both your plates next to each other. Very nice plate Ron, was it the one floating around on TradeMe awhile back?

Thanks Jochen and 318Touring (sorry mate don't know your name).

Nice Glad you decided to keep the car. The M front bumper will go well with the rear diffuser - the diffuser is aggressive enough IMO. Saves you buying a M rear too and you'll be different. Any plans for the sideskirts? Good wheel choice - trying to imagine gunmetal on green though - not sure if it's too dark for that paint, lack of contrast? It would look pretty stealth though... maybe also go with smoked indicators/tails and tint

Welcome Chris Amanda and Harry

Jochen, could you list the countries that will work in NZ, and the models of BMWs? Any particular year onward? Would serve as a nice buying guide. I was just thinking... the 3 series cars always seem to have the euro size area, even the ones from Japan. It's only the 5s and 7s that are affected by this. Has anyone else noticed?

Don't think 215 come in the correct size (as in they aren't close enough to stock in terms of tyre profile combinations) even though lots of people run them, resulting in larger speedo error compared to 225/45/17. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, I haven't run the calculations in awhile. Suggest you go with 225, 205 is what's being used on the stock 15x7" wheels.

135i vs E92 M3 vs Nismo 350z vs S2000 (Best Motoring)
Yuen replied to Yuen's topic in Videos & Sound
I'll have to look for the episode you mention... you understand Japanese? The 135i is bloody quick, I wonder if the tuned version is being sold or just some promo thing - it's not some tii variant is it? -
Do you work on your car? If it's anything like the E36 one it's worth buying. Probably the best manual out there.

I don't think it's rice at all. If anything it adds to the 7 series and makes it look better than stock. Saw one the other day with the ACS kit, not like the one above though, I suppose it was an older version. Had something like 22" BBS wheels with lip.
