Was he dressed in a police uniform ??

Ha, he was a big Maori guy holding a very scary looking pit bull by a big beefy chain, so no i don't think he was 5-0

Well i hope John learnt his lesson last time and the only reason the guy knew 'bout the LSD was that someone told him, not by seeing it doin' something silly.

Wouldn't know?

ROFL.

It hasn't been driven around yet in ages, It's been towed everywhere until it's legal.. Don't know how they would recognize my car how it looks now compared to when it was last on the road and the brief time it was light blue on bottlecaps... Unless they stalk my number plate....

He said he saw it parked outside J G three or so weeks ago, dark blue with (bigger motor) in it and apparently LSD.

That guy may have been talking about the other dark blue e30 around here, but its got a 12a in it but I know it has a locky cos I've seen it doing skids around town etc.

.

Nope, definitely yours. Edited by Greg.

Great stuff John, happy as for you. Just keep it reliable and out of the garage now ;) Love the wheels, def one of my favorite wheels for an E30. Just needs some smoked indicators and tints and you'll be set.

Good luck on the cert check. The car looks awesome. You may get knocked back on having 205's on a 9" wide rim though. Certifiers are getting pretty strict with having an approved width tyre in relation to the rim width. Hopefully you can get through!

its something like

195 for a 7"

205 for a 7.5"

215 for a 8"

245 for a 10"?

is it being enforced yet though?

Can anyone confirm for certain what will be allowed in regards to tyre sizing?

Find a GC at a tyre shop/where you brought yours from, who will let you Borrow a set, gently drive around the corner for the check then back to the tyre shop...beer or cash will sort it

I like your way of thinking however I am going to play the devil's advocate here.

The cert plate will then state the size wheel that you have on the car at time of certification. I am guessing the borrowed wheels will be a 16x7 or 16x7.5.

Technically speaking if the car is cert'ed for that size wheel then you put the 16x9's back on, you can get fined, green stickered or whatever they do for having wheels that do not comply with the cert plate.

I only know all this from past experiences ;)

This is a mountain of gayness. 215 on an 8.5" shows no stretch whatsoever <_<

If this has been in since Feb 09, they can't be paying that much attention.

I have my my car certified with the Alpinas wearing 195/50, pink sticker warrant at VTNZ - they never questioned it.
