hybrid 1044 Report post Posted August 14, 2012 Well after a few nights of working it all out. We now have a e46 m3 with s62b50 starting an fired. All stock DME, EWS and getting most sensors online. Should have the rest done shortly. Ray, Brendon and myself and our little accomplishment. Now the serious stuff begins. Getting the e46 M3 DSC working with a e39 m5 DME For now we are happy people. HELLBM 1560 Report post Posted September 8, 2012 I now have 2 exhaust systems as options - factory rear muffler for stealth or this for the V8 statement: M3`s nose to nose before the rain came and sent them inside.

CSET 592 Report post Posted September 10, 2012 HI ray, Is this the exhaust muffler from driftmax? if so, how is it in quality/ sound/ performance? thanks mate I was thinking the same - very similar to the trademe photo of the Drift Max job. Unless DM is a copy of something else?
HELLBM 1560 Report post Posted September 10, 2012 Yes DriftMax and loud.I wouldn`t run it with the S54 but with the V8 it does sound pretty good. I like the factory rear muffler, cats removed and a pair of custom resonators as the stealth option for the street. The DM will be ideal for trackdays Great sound and about 25kg lighter. Thanks mate At the moment I`m running with only the precat sensors installed, seems pretty good. Still needs a visit to Gavin@HiVelocity for final tune. Will post results here. Buy the low price Chinese mufflers and alter them so they fit.

I know (and bought my car off) the owner of the Christchurch branch Driftmax. Maybe if anyone is keen I can talk to them to see if they are keen to sponser bimmersportNZ and give us some discounts? HELLBM 1560 Report post Posted September 14, 2012 more reason to be back home haha cant wait for a listenMotor is out at the moment. Subframe is getting powder coated and engine bay being tidied up.The only issue left to sort is how to get DSC functioning. The front speed sensors (E39 hubs) have a pulse that confuses the M3 system. Maybe an emulator of sorts or you could rewrite the code Josh. Until then it will be lots of yehaa. Either way, might get a scope onto it when I get back. We can use the red m3 for known state.
