8M3 now has a soulmate that lives and breathes. Took it for a short test run. 90% complete.

Out of interest how do these compare to E92s? Is the swap primarily to get the great engine with the great E46 looks?

That`s easy. Combine two of the best M cars and the result is a car that makes the E92 boring.

I thought that too until I saw a silver one yesterday. Are they very heavy?

I have one down on the Kapiti Coast...They are all aluminium and weigh 28kg. For those of us who like the lines of the hard-top there is always the thought (for me anyway) of removing the soft-top hardware which weighs 115kg. This would gives a net weight loss of around 90kg.
