Recommended Posts

Hahaha, another lip would just be crazy.

Maybe a spliter if it was a track car only.

very nice, that CSI bumper makes a huge difference. Still one of the best E31s.

Looking good Jooles. Cant wait to see pics of the rear.

I really want to put an Alpina lip in my E38 but with the front of the 740i already lowered I scrape every time I leave a parking lot as it is.

Thanks.

Sometimes common sense must prevail over aesthetics, eh?!

Sadly, was only driving it to drop into my mechanic for a combustion test. Possible headgasket leak. FML!

EDIT: Am guessing where you mean by 'spaghetti junction'. Auckland's is a bit more this...

Than this...

The rear rep has a slight unwanted curve. It's not awful and I've seen worse stock ones (when they've not been looked after) and is a big improvement over a half red wheel well. That said, the bow will bug me so I'll be keeping an eye open for a decent OE one.

New radiator has landed in NZ! Whoop.

Hope my eBay fluke (a 19.90 euro winning bid for a brand new Nissens E31 radiator) is as promised!!

Still can't believe I picked up this brand new Nissens radiator for 19.90euros + shipping (which was twice that) on eBay.de. Half expected an empty box to arrive. Total cost NZ$128 compared to dealer price locally of $850!! Much win!!

Insane price.

Makes you wonder what the hell that company is doing to make a dollar. Must have got some old stock from a bankrupt seller or something?

So the 850i must be the Holden Monaro coupe of Germany :P

Maybe in terms of availability but prices are high in Germany, especially parts. I just got lucky!

I generally find parts prices in NZ are double what they sell for in the US.

I don't buy their BS about shipping and taxes.

BMW performance software flash in the US for the 335i is between $600-900 USD. Team McMillan BMW quoted me $2500 for the same.

Market driven in the US. Parts in the UK and Germany are more expensive than the US, though still cheaper than here, but shipping is generally cheaper. I've found it best to ship parts locally in the US to someone I know who then sends on, making sure packages are under $400 inc shipping where possible.

Edit: BTW I bought new sport shocks for the e31 from Germany for around $1k shipped when the exchange rate peaked. A full set in NZ was $6k!!

After some fiddly soldering with some tiny resistors, I've got bright white LED side lights with no errors. 21st century 8er!!
