Would you like to swap.

Currently around 85% humidity.  And will be around 35deg C today.  With a lovely feels like temp of 41deg C.

Breathing outside is a chore let alone any outdoor activity.  Pretty much the entire city is hiding indoors.  The air is thick and there is no breeze.  I can't even brag about the embassy pool which you all pay for.  It is like a warm bath.

No help if wanting to get anything done outside... Sunny - great. But everything is saturated and sitting in puddles. :(

can be frustrating, aye.  both as candidate, and hiring manager.  find a good one, and the pain is minimised.  Which field, Cory?

5 TradeMe auctions. Over 1200 views and 250 watchers between them. Not one single bid on any of them.

Is there any other options?

Only option is to not use Euro-style plates.

NZTA decree what we can use and where we buy from. Official source, or they are illegal.

(And tes - the supplier is Australian. ???)

I love their BS excuse that their camera's can't read the non official font.

110% bullshit.  The system can pretty much read anything.

All they are doing is protecting a monopoly they have a contract with.

Imagine the bonus returns! The speed camera gets you for speed, and for having the German plates on!

Yeah, turn my $30 ticket for driving 4km/h over the limit into a $280 ticket. Great. Not.

Why are so many 3 series imports from Japan 'Poverty' spec?

They are featureless.  No heated seats.  No leather.  Business radio.  And there are so many that are the same spec which makes me think they could be rental fleet vehicles.

And Trademe being Trademe everything is the same bloody price.

I'm actually not looking forward to buying a car in NZ when I come back next year.  So much junk for silly prices.

I'm almost prepared to hold my breath waiting for the National accolytes to all be up in arms over it.

While the National Party sit back and giggle, and throw a couple more useless comments into the mix.

It's not like National weren't going to do the exact same thing.

Oh, wait... They were! Still, this way, the Labour haters get to have a good moan. (As, I'm sure the National haters would have done.)

National opposed all the regional fuel taxes.

They actively campaigned against it.

I wasn't aware they campaigned against it, but I do agree that National hadn't - at that time - actively suggested a regional fuel tax. In fact, Steven Joyce did everything he could to prevent councils independently raising revenue for road and transport projects, while (at the same time) blaming local councils for their failure to deliver transport projects.

Of course, the proposed regional fuel taxes (blocked by Joyce) were replaced (by Joyce) with numerous smaller nationwide fuel tax increases contributing to central government coffers. National imposed a nationwide 15c per litre tax increase to raise $10.5bn to fund their 'Roads Of National Significance' program, and were proposing a further 5-10c per litre nationwide increase for further RONS programs. Apparently they "ran out of time to present that to the country" before the last election.

Unfortunately we're in that cycle where one majority party proposes something, which is then discounted by the other party when they get in and they then propose something else, which is subsequently discounted by the first party... And so on.

And then I was forced to overhear Judith Collins whinging, whining, moaning and bleating about how everything Labour does is "so unfair on people who have to travel to work." As if she cares!

Just wait 'til we have a National government again. I'll be ranting about how ineffective Labour are in opposition!
