Can anyone offer some insight into leather restoration??

Or the go to, can do person that could sort out my drivers side seat :) Just a bit of wear and tear as per usual!

Restoration, as in fixing cracks and wear marks?

If just cleaning the best way I find is a soft-medium brush, warm water and normal quality hand soap, give the seats a good scrub and have many dry cloths to wipe off the dirty water, use white one and you can see how much brown dirty water is absorbed. Takes a while, I find two passes works best.

Then oil them up with leatherquie, let them sit for a few days, it works better if they get warm - ie in the sun, then cleaned off with the leatherquie pristine clean solution.

Yeah, looking for the small creases/cracks and dying it again.

I've been looking into that Leatherique that everyone goes on about. (Something about leaving it in a hot car though makes me think summer may be better).

Be keen to see some one else try it.... :)

I have a leather dye that have used. It's basically like shoe polish. Temporary fix only for light cracking.

Dealer Principal does...and so do all the guys who like to drop comments about "accidental scrapes, bumps, bumper removal" from them driving past.

But GM is wicked, always comments and chats about it. But I guess that's because he's GM of JC also haha.

Angel eyes arrived.. Yus!

And car went up on a hoist at work to check springs. Sitting captive as ever, not sure what the guys at precision were going on about saying they weren't...

Need to brave putting the splitters back on now..

obviously they will be captive with the car sitting static on them.

car needs to be in the air with the wheels hanging freely.

they come loose when driving as the car goes over bumps in the road etc and the shock extends. the must be captive at full wheel extension.

Haha oh lordy, maybe lift the car off the ground and let the suspension hang at full droop and then check.

Good to see you guys think I'm stupid.

The car was jacked up with wheels hanging freely. Hence why I used a hoist which could accommodate.

Now, since I'm not stupid, back on track gents?

I'm not sure they thought you were stupid. Based on the photographic evidence provided I think they thought the tech's were doing it wrong.

And to be fair a different photo, one of the actual checking, to accompany the text might have lead to a different conclusion. ;)

But sure, assumptions are...

Yeah, took photo when it didn't look like off-road vehicle lol.

Guess I shouldn't of "assumed" people would think I'd have a clue..

Well.. after the little BS meet today, realised I needed to order some new sh*t.

New side indicator housing (current is eek).

New front Grille in Matte Black

New Side Grille in Matte Black.

Installed the fog lights yesterday, looks good. Unfortunately the angel eyes weren't as bright as the previous set I had bought, so binned them and going to go for higher quality.

New side grilles arrived and went in last week. Fresh stickers make a difference, albeit minor.
Same with the front grilles, but have decided to keep them as spare given OCD cleaned up current ones really well.

Booking in for Inspection II and brake bits with JC BMW next month. 8,000kms since last one haha!

Car was parked up at Speedshow weekend just been, great group to be parked with and lots of good comments given how OEM based the modding was in comparison to the 500kw+ monsters next to her...Really wanting to move up into a bit more power so headed down to EuroSurgeon for a remap.. Max gains on the map as dynod was around 378hp at crank, however bit drastic so expecting it to go up between 350-360hp. Will get on Dyno and see how she runs with the new map - eerring on the side of evidence needed.
