I was wondering that, any idea who to go through with regards to importing one myself from Japan, there's such limited options in NZ, are there any companies/dealerships people have used here to import a bmw, and/or would you advise against it for a 130i manual?

I used  Vehicle Import Specialists in Rangiora to source my 130i about 6 months ago  - Tom on 03-310 6539

Not wrapped I don't think... door jams and trunk sills are matching colour.

Sure it's not Montréal Blue with weird lighting?

Yeah, and for a pre-LCI auto with no special options.

You do however get a Spa Francorchamps sticker thrown in.

Would have cost them no more than $5,500 to put on their lot.

Its Le Mans blue, according to the VIN.

Off the dealers website where they have to provide the CIN.

Great stalk 👏

I thought they might have a white balance camera issue or some weird bulb temp in their overheads, but looking at the Obsidian Black CLK430, the colour is bang on - shows exactly how blue that colour really is. I'm inclined to think the 130i has had a respray. No chance that is Le Mans.

I agree, it looks too dark to be LMB, but having the door jams and the likes done should at least mean it was a proper job if it was repainted.

Pretty common to see high mileage cars on the 130i Owners page, if it's looked after could be a good pick up.

Strange options that one but being NZ new probably explains that... front+rear PDC but no iDrive or Xenons. That's not a combo I'd ever select but it would drag the sticker price down.

Gee, I thought my one with 126k was high mileage... 😱

Low mileage, not a lot of manuals around below 100k kms.

For some reason a lot of NZDM BMWs seemed to miss xenons, but no iDrive is common, and i believe, preferred.

No Xenons was very common with NZ new cars of this era - even otherwise nicely specced LCI E9x 330i / 335d missed out on them. Dad says it's the only thing he doesn't like about his E91 320d...

130i Radiator removal

Is there a secret to removing the top and bottom radiator hoses that are retained by the clip.

As each end is plastic, I dont want to force things too much but they wont even start to move.

Do I need to go to the gym or is there a trick to getting them off?

Doing Waterpump and Thermostat replacement and apparently radiator has to come out first?

Cheers, John

They may be sealed down with caked coolant... once the clips are completely free try twisting the hoses off, back and forward... if that doesn't work try to pry them loose carefully all the way around the circumference with a small trim removal tool or screwdriver. You can also try levering up the lips and spraying some CRC/WD40 in there as far around as you can get and leave that for a few hours to do its work. Some muscle will probably be required but try and apply that in a twisting motion rather than and up and down or side-to-side motion.
