Twistee 470 Report post Posted Thursday at 10:22 PM Does anyone have any experience with typical order turnaround from FCP Euro? I bought an accessory / AC belt and bearing service kit yesterday, the shipping estimate went from the end of next week to the 7th of March after I completed the order!!!! Is this just a BS automated estimate and the reality is they are typically good with fast shipping?
str8_6 277 Report post Posted Friday at 01:31 AM Depends if the items are in stock, but never had an issue ordering from FCP. Typically orders have come through in about a 7 days. 1
Driftit 2106 Report post Posted Friday at 01:49 AM I was getting stuff over night in the US and no more than 10 working days in NZ. Try Spareto.com. They are much quicker. DHL from Europe. My last 10 or so orders have been from them. Not just BMW parts either. Best method with their site is input the BMW part number into the search. You will get a ton of options from brands you have never heard of to genuine BMW.
Jacko 2159 Report post Posted Friday at 01:56 AM FCPs customer service is next level good, if you are concerned flick them an email and I bet they will sort it.

Vass 882 Report post Posted Friday at 06:39 AM FCP used to be good until a few years ago when they switched from FedEX to UPS, feel like the shipping experience has gone down the drain since and now only use them on the rare occasion Spareto or Schmiedmann don't stock the odd part. The latter two tend to be cheaper as well. UPS also use Aramex for the final leg of the delivery which is a disaster in itself. I did tack on a few bits onto @Eagle's FCP order recently and that turned out to be a clusterf**k. Ordered end of November, only got shipped 11th of December, then for some weird reason the package got returned to sender on the 18th, then sent out again on the 20th and finally arrived on the 30th so took a whole month in total. Previous experience with them was back in mid-2023 so not sure if this is a one off or the new normal. At this rate won't be in any rush to use them again any time soon.
Eagle 1688 Report post Posted Friday at 08:09 AM Yeah FCP aren't as good as they use to be in general, seems hit or miss if they update you if a delay occurs. If its not shipped within a few business days then emailing them is probably a good idea, they do respond in timely fashion i will give them that. Spareto covers most of your typical wear items for the best value and fastest shipping, then Schmeidmann and NZ dealers for genuine only parts. FCP will sometimes fill a brand or stock gap the others have missed, but generally i dont see the point of using them these days.

That explains why I’ve had an Order from ECS stuck in Auckland for the last 10 days just being scanned everyday and nothing being done. Sent them an Email a few days ago but no reply yet. That's just sh!t handling at the NZ end. Often happens. Across the world in two days, a week or more in Auckland 'being processed' and a week to be delivered in NZ.
Eagle 1688 Report post Posted Sunday at 02:42 AM (edited) That's Aramex for the most part, your lucky if get an item delivered within a week nationally. Edited Sunday at 02:42 AM by Eagle

I've found that Scheidmann can be limited for genuine parts. What NZ dealers are good for genuine? Do you mean BMW dealers? FCP experinece for me has been Ok. May be I've just been lucky so far with Aramex. Edited Sunday at 03:40 AM by deedub

Twistee 470 Report post Posted 15 hours ago Once they did start to respond to support emails it became clear the issue was not the shipping estimate. To bump up the order to a discount level I grabbed a tube of sunroof grease (listed as in stock), turns out the sunroof grease was not in stock and the expected delivery from the supplier was causing the delay. Order is now on its was minus the $10 tube of grease. No doubt the package will sit in the clearing depot in Auckland for a week before it starts to move.

This has happened to me in the past. Another reason I push spareto.com. It's just parts at the lowest cost. No discounts. No fake sales (hyperdrive). Clear shipping based on item weight. I've actually started using nocams.co.nz (old rotary website) for tyres for a similar reason. Their standard pricing is hyperdrives BS sale pricing. If there is a drop in price their website reflects it.
Jacko 2159 Report post Posted 9 hours ago So far from FCP Euro I have got, due to shipping damage (not their fault, couriers are animals), one complete SMF conversion and a new OEM radiator (and it was an aftermarket that was bent)... easy couple of grand they covered with very few questions asked and little faff. Personally, for a few bucks, happy to pay for service. Schmiedmann on the other hand are hilariously sh*t, wouldnt touch them with a barge pole ever again after them sending me rusty torn seals and then refusing to replace them. Typical from them. You'd think they would have systems to update it on the order status for everyone's sake. 2 hours ago, Driftit said: Another reason I push spareto.com Yeah they arent perfect but pretty close. The amount of $ ive spent with them, they surpass everyone ive used by a large margin for overall performance. DHL helps alot too.
