Had my MF Wheel project completed this week. Wheel swap and cruise control had been in for about 4 weeks...this week i got a new Alpine mechless media player installed and Audio controls wired up by Mad Soundz here in hamilton. They did a great job and after some fiddling the Bavsound speakers have really come alive with the Alpine unit. It's great have bluetooth audio and phone (with Mic) too.

Hoping it's just balance issue but still haven't managed to get near a motorway. I spent most of the day fooling around with the m5 since it has been stuck in the garage behind a scaffold for a couple of months. Battery may have given up now. As for names, nah my wife names the things. She's come up with Bernard Beatrice and Bartholomew. Edit: seems it was just wheel balance as it cruises smooth now. That's a relief. Interestingly the triangle th201 tyres on it aren't terrible although I think they are a bit small for a 245.

BMWNZ don't want to have anything to do with the HPFP recall. I spoke to the CEO of Jeff Gray. He didn't even know about this problem. My 335i is NZ New. He said he'd have to refer this to BMW headoffice. Anyway, BMWNZ wanted about $900 for a HPFP ex Germany, and wouldn't replace under recall. Euro Italian did one for me for $400 odd. I figured it wasn't worth the hassle arguing the point with BMW. If a HPFP goes it is a safety issue. My engine suddenly went into limp mode as I was pulling out to pass someone. Could have been a serious accident. No problem with the Pierburg pump. If you do get the HPFP replaced make sure you run the fuel low, otherwise the mechanic has to drain your tank in order to replace the pump.

Welcome. I would advise getting mechanical warranty for your car, as the engine in it is known to be problematic one.
