I will be moving this site and a few others to my server based at Hampton Downs tonight, probably around 9pm. Expect downtime etc etc until tomorrow morning. From tomorrow, Bimmersport and a few other sites I manage will be the only ones hosted at a race track, possibly world wide. Initially the site will be hosted on regular spinning disks, but if it runs like a sack of sh*t I will put it on solid state storage.

Well deal not done yet. I've got no money. Still trying to arrange for an inspection as he isn't Auckland based. PITA as they want the car for a day. Good news is I'm staying in the BMW family. More info on the new ride will be forthcoming......

I agree. Boycott on PP, they can stick their prices where the sun dont shine.

It's on the list but really not a priority. At $400 for a legal euro plate (not even a p plate), there are plenty of things I would rather spend the money on.

Jules can you pleeeaaase get a proper Euro plate? I know I'm way too fussy about plates but I can't stand those replica cover things!

Nice, exact same spec as mine and almost the same production time. Very nice, Avus Blue is a cool colour, especially when clean.

    1) It's illegal to tint the indicators red 2) Completely red would look a bit too 'murican IMO 3) The stock light has a red dot matrix already, so it doesn't look bright amber 4) I like it the way it is

Not an OE option but there were some aftermarket ones around, probably hard to get now. Personally, I think clear indicators would like cheap on the 8.

Get rid of your tractor wheel and replace with a sportier 3 spoke wheel (approx 380mm diameter). Leather has been refurbished so is in excellent condition. Stitching has loosened in a couple of spots (as pictured) but doesn't affect the integrity of the wheel. Should fit any E30, E31, E32, E34, E36, E38, E39 that doesn't require and airbag. Taken from an E31 850i - I've swapped for a smaller E30 M3 wheel. All in all a very tidy wheel and a good upgrade from the standard wheels in the cars listed above. $250ono

Are the rear guards from the coupe donor getting grafted on? Awesome project.

You need to get it scanned first and get the fluid level checked. The fault code will then point you in the right direction. Your description seems like it is slipping or losing drive under load

Well this is just it. I resent the idea that local outfits are just adding on huge margins for the sake of it and penalising their customer base. It's not 1987 anymore and thanks to the internet and cheap(ish) shipping we simply aren't slaves to distance and huge duties like we used to be. Suppliers here need to realise that otherwise in time everyone is just going to buy everything online. There is a shop on Customs St West in Auckland City that sells men's business shoes - the exact same brand and style I (and about 90% of guys there) used to wear to work in London. Over there, they cost me around 140 quid. Here, the guy is charing $700. Now, you can order those exact shoes direct from various stores in London and only be subject to exchange rate and 25 quid shipping, meaning if I wanted to I could land them for about $320. The guy is living in the past.
