1 pointHi all, My name's Harry and I drive two E30's. One being a 323i Baur and my other being a 320i SE Coupe.. 323i Baur has been in my family since 2005, was bought completely stock.. so far have added the following. - Full Mtech 1 Kit (minus spoiler) - Black Leather Recaros (Think the fronts are m3) ?? - Z3 Short Shift - Full top end rebuild Can't remember everything off the top of my head.. My 320i Coupe was purchased recently also completely stock and i have had a little fun with it... Im sure many of the users on her won't like what I have done, but each to their own.. Near future I am planning to turbo my 320i unsure of weather to find a m20b25 engine to turbo then put that in, or just stick with the m20b20.. but any advice on this is much appreciated.

1 pointIts actually an e36 wheel WITH airbag, it has a totally self contained airbag, all the sensors etc are in the steering wheel, i had one in my 318is but the light kept coming on so i binned it for a non airbag motorsport wheel. I would pay $50 for it if the airbag is ok.

1 pointInjectors fit in the end of that manifold right? Watch for tight fitment, the powdercoat can be quite thick and close the clearences down a bit.

1 pointSaw a couple of very tidy E30s today... A silver M325i on Douglas St while I had my morning coffee and an absolutely immaculate red Tech 1 or 2 (I'm not an E30 person so don't really know the difference but it had a nice kit) 320i... I think... outside my office on Ponsonby Road this afternoon. Never owned an E30 but either of the those cars would look good in my drive!

1 pointNot pooh poohing them, just being realistic. Was taking about 95% of NSX's that are not fast and or Automatic, the last of them went ok but they are in general no drag machine. Would love one though, with a supercharger. My favourite is Wolfs Acura from Pulp Fiction. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

1 pointah ha! i just read the auction and it says "320i gone now" so im safely assuming that the listing was originally for a 320i with 2.2L and now the auction details have been changed to the 318i as per the photos. as martin pointed out its def a 4 cyl engine in there so it must be a normal 318i.. in which case im not that overly keen.. sigh was looking forward to a nice 2.2L 6cyl wagon. oh well..

1 pointAlso had this brought up on my old 328i a few years ago. If they're factory that's fine, but if not and you're using them as park lights you can only have one at the outer most point per side. So only on the low beams. But the guy was like just unplug the centre ones and what you do after the wof is your call. So plugged them back in after

1 pointPulled the top half off for reconditioning. Thanks to Martin for help and a garage! Took a few hours but nothing too difficult, just a few tricky bolts securing the manifolds and a fair bit of mucking around to prise the valve covers off. Cleaning and powdercoating next week plus a few other jobs while everything's out: Clean and replace injector seals Clean inlet and injector ports Paint any red still showing in the bay that I can get to Wrinkle black the strut bar Paint the washer tanks Lock the banjo bolts (one was loose, though that's not too bad in 23 years)

1 pointNext project (well, one of many on the go) is the CSi kit. Test fitted the rear diffuser last night and that's going to be fine with a bit of sanding, etc. I've picked up a cheap genuine front spoiler which just needs some minor repairs and a repaint. Once painted and fitted the car should go from this: To this: The mirrors will be a bit harder work. I have a set of cheap E36 M3 mirrors and some of Thomas Engl's adapter plates. His plates are cast metal of the original E31 plate, so I'll need to hollow out the adapter so I can fit the plates (the bits with screws in them) from the E36 mirrors that hold that the actual mirror clips into. Haven't sussed out how I'll fix them yet... Could tap for screws but wonder whether some small bolts might work better. Engl's ones are unfinished too so will need a fair bit of sanding... Will still work out way cheaper than a set of OE ones.

1 pointStill no sign of the new shocks so have been continuing work on getting the engine bay straight. Painted the air boxes a couple of days ago using Krylon Fusion paint (which is awesome and physically bonds to plastic so it won't peel). Came out well. This is what it looked like when I bought it... And now...
