I had to drive to Palmerston North today. I was due to leave and had been sitting on my front doorstep deep in thought for about 5 minutes when my son came out and asked what I was doing cause he thought I was leaving. I looked at him, smiled and explained that I was having trouble deciding which car to take..lol He flipped a coin for me and I took the V12. Life's choice bro.

15k or 12 months is fine..... 40,000k or 24 months is bullshit though

Sold the $300 E36 today. Blown head gasket, a few parts missing etc. Still got $300 for it! Now I have space in the garage for the S2a

Haha yeah been up for quite awhile now! I guess the market is a bit cooler north of $30K. Has everything I wanted on it now though! Went for a look and drive but just wasn't the same so passed on it

To fully appreciate a 6.9 you need to watch 'Ronin' for smoke, and then 'C'etait un Rendezvous' for sheer speed and audacity. A friend in Oz used to have a turbo on his 6.9.

You essentially need all the bits off an M40 1.8 motor (wiring loom, ECU, injectors, AFM etc..) to make this work without too much hunting for bits like a custom ECU, MAF etc. Mounting the CPS should not be much of a problem even if the mounting point you refer to is not there. Mounting the bits like TPS, throttle body etc involves quite a bit of fabrication. It would definitely be a far easier exercise to drop in a M40 with 'box ( the m10 'box will not bolt up properly to the m40), but not half as much fun to do/get the m10 working with motronic electronics though.. I have not personally done this conversion, but I know how it has been done by others, and don't consider it to be too difficult to do if you have reasonable spanner, electrical and fabrication skills. You don't need to use the front mounted dizzy, the m10 one is utilised purely as a 'distributor' of the spark, all the electrical internals are abandoned and the vacuum/centrifugal timing is locked. You just need to ensure that it is timed so that the rotor is facing the correct pin in the cap when the motronic fires the spark. You can also utilise a wasted spark system and ditch the distributor altogether, or use a m42 ECU with individual coils and other associated wiring and hardware... too many options...

ET13 looks good, but standard 5 series fitment works well. You'll need crappy stretched tyres - 225-40-17 on a 9" ET24 rubs like crazy even with rolled arches and pumped guards (gl working the rear arches, there's 3 converging layers in the rear arch). The fad is dead, get some 9" wide rears with standard offset and throw some 265-35-17s on them

They were selling one or two of the cars off a couple of years ago. I nearly bought a Mercedes W116 6.9. It would have made my 500SE look economical!

Yup, have them already probably a couple pages back. Just need one more section of the loom and then figuring out where everything goes and I can put everything back in. Hopefully have it going in the next few weeks, Just more and more things that need doing. Change one thing then down the line something else needs to be done, then something else. Where did you guys place your Driveshaft loops?

I also decided to give mounting the new radiator fan a crack... was plesantly suprised it wasn't the end of the world and I didnt need to fabricate any mounts. I just used old parts kicking around the workshop for brackets .. worked a treat! e36 pusher fan gave it a clean up with some decreaser and an airgun placed it in the location to workout if it would fit .. and it does The bumpers were just getting in the road so off they came Needed to make up some brackets from old parts. The bottom just bolted pretty much to the bottom lip the top just needed some extra metal .. which I found and converted All finished and I tested it up to temprature and connected a battery pack to see it bring the temp down .. it worked Also note the FL smile headlights im gonna chuck on MMMMMMM smilies e30's are the only car I know of that actually look just as tuff with no bumpers as they do with them

Another successful day. Tidying up the brake lines and swapping the e34 sump / new revised s50 pump / e34 pick from the 'old' engine to the new one. Brake line tidy up, Brendon managed to work some pretty cool solutions, like the e36 square brake fluid reservoir. While brendon spent literally all day in the engine bay I lined up both the S50b32's and started work on swapping the oil pans and oil pumps. S50b32 oil pick ups from the new engine to come out. Little sh*t of a oil sprocket nut .. known for coming off. Left hand thread. Pump removed .. noting the pick up support bracket is connected to the main bearing cap bolts. I removed these and re torqed them back up with my new toy. New oil pump and pick up Cleaning up the sprocket shaft and sprocket for loctite blue and torqued. And one last stupid photo ... We couldnt figure out weather to make a 3 engine 6wd e30 ... that and thought there isn't a photo anywhere where you would see 3 s50b32's in one spot
