Hi guys, Unfortunately the for sale section is going to the dogs again as far as adherence to the basic rules. As of today onwards the moderators will be removing any thread that doesn't have the basic requirements for a for sale thread without warning. This applies to everyone including us mods/admins. If you find your thread gone in the for sale section, this will be why. I have updated the rules in the For Sale section here http://bimmersport.co.nz/topic/20961-please-read-before-posting-an-item-for-sale/

There should be a rule that is firmly administered about location of people being on their profile. We have on here guys like Glen who give so much of their time for free and the first thing they have to do is ask some stupid git who puts a smart arsed answer as to their locality on their profile where the hell they are. Come on admin make it a firm rule and give people 14 days to fix their profile.

what did I do to my BMW (yester)day? Got the Style 194's on with new RE-003s (225/45/17 & 245/40/17). If Toyota australia might allow: "what a feeling". First rain this morning in wellington for a goodly while. First impressions are very positive.

I will agree with some of the earlier posts, if there isnt much in it, comparing 80kms to 50kms, I would go for the newer car with higher kms (but choose condition over everything else). I went for higher mileage tidy car (105kms with facelift) over older car with less kms. You soon rack up the Kms in the car anyway. I have often seen people with a nice tidy vehicle and think, wow that looks like a nice car, and then you are surprised when you see it has done 180kms.

lol, CSET should buy a whole CSL cuz he owns CSL wheels. that logic +1

Nothing wrong with an M10 unit Graham, over-engineered as standard and capable of being tweaked a hell of a lot. Kayne Barrie got some very impressive power / torque out of an M10 with side-draft carbs in Howard Woods 2002 race car, which won the 2-ltr Championship and mixes it up with the muscle cars as well.

That actually did cause me to Lol, sorry. Stealer = main dealer, due to the (supposedly) higher prices they charge.

WIthout the CSL wheels... WTF? Why would you put the non-CSL M3 wheels on it. I think the genuine CSL wheels are still available, but not cheap. CSET should buy it to put his wheels on it and make it all complete!!

Well said Admin. Any grizzling, moaning and arguing about posts being deleted should be stopped as well. Follow the rules = no problems = simples.

Clare Pizey has been appointed as 'editorial lead', replacing the 'executive producer' role formerly filled by Lisa Clark who left after 'differences' with Chris Evans. Pizey is very much a been there, done that lass, who durn't take no sh*t from no-one. (So to speak.) Evans will retain 'creative lead', but expect him to be shut down if he turns into a twerp.

Errmm... Maybe. I mentioned before that Mrs M was having some trouble getting in and out - arthritic hips and any car that has a vaguely low seat will cause problems. I can't always be there to help her! And... The move that we may be making would mean a 4x4 of some sort, even if an Audi Allroad, would be a good idea. Add to that the prices I have seen other E46 wagons being offered at and selling could be a tempting proposition. The only thing wrong with ours is stone chips. The 500k X5 looks interesting, but the seller is asking too much money. A 3.0d might stretch to that, but even they can be had with less mileage and for less money. We'd like an economic 'proper' 4x4, and the new LR Disco Sport is a very tempting proposition. 57mpg is under 5 litres per 100km, something I find astonishing. I spoke to a friend who sells JLR in the UK, and they did an economy run on a closed circuit... He's not allowed to reveal the figures, but told me that if I guessed 'more than 70mpg' I might be in the ballpark. Just need $90k or so to make that happen.

That's it though right. We've been doing silly things in cars as long as there's been cars to do silly things in. And someone's always taking it too far. Aint nothing new there.

I think local bodies in NZ have long forgotten who they are here to serve, and who funds them.

Been awhile, picked up a Rieger GT front lip, it fell off, then I put it back on again. Also picked up some ACS type 3's. I'm standard ride height on M3 bilsteins and holy @$%! the scrape is real, you could never get away with this lip on a lowered car in NZ.

It was good times between 97 and 2003. Mostly harmless. Then fast cars got cheap.

Cool, thanks. Is that an online store? Google search doesn't come up with anything locally.
