Purchased a BMW M3 for my partner and supercharged her with E46 M3 VT2-575 Supercharger System (Gen.3) - ESS Tuning The top of the line, intercooled Gen.3 S54 VT2-575 supercharger system produces 575hp and 360lb-ft of torque at 10psi of boost. A 232hp gain over stock, eclipsing the output of a Nissan GTR! Featuring the highly efficent, extremely durable and self contained Vortech V3 supercharger unit in Si trim, the supercharger is capable of producing up to 775hp. Added Blistein PSS10 Coilovers and a few other bits and bobs to her. She's a beauty!

Definitely a leason in not to do drugs and then try and sell sh*t. plus pretty damn fine reason not to buy a 320 of any sort

Just remember, as with any project, it is most likely to cost 2x as much as you think and take twice as long, so factor that in also

Just put normal tyres on and get some roadside assistance like AA or similar. Cant put into words how much better the e91 is with normal tyres over re050a rft.

well he was right about one thing: it is a factory manual. awesome photos award. new rotors and pads, new clutch, new rims and tyres. and an exhaust. he's just paid more than he'll get for it with 185k's on the clock! Bummer. $20,000... time for a Tui billboard.

The only thing wrong with this thread is that I could only hit the like button once. Thats so cool. Awesome car Sam.

Adapt or die. BMW have survived 100 years by adapting through times of need. If they are to survive another 100 years they need to adapt to the Chinese market, they certainly aren't going to adapt to the needs of one man in New Zealand.

hey thanks for that Colin, sorry I didn't get back sooner. Still looking for an e90 330i, PPI today saw me walk away from that example. I'll keep any eye out. I knew RFTs on an X5 were pricey, I didn't expect 225/40/18 and 255/35/18 to be as scary as they turned out! $2k for RE050a, or $3k for Pirellis. It wasn't just the rubber. Hey ho, I'll keep looking, better informed.

yesterday I fitted 2 parts to my e46. 63 12 6 921 860, and 63 12 6 921 859. These suckers are just like the 'quality' item we find ourselves replacing, the wiper cowl. I am happy to report that there is now a seal between headlamps and bonnet. that is all. More updates tomorrow. Olaf

It's almost like the person has seen my thread and tried his luck to get late 30's.

The range on water is 78-121c which = dead center. So the gauge is a bit useless. Your ECU monitors inlet and outlet temps ... if theyre wildy out then there is an issue with your thermostat. You really want your inlet temp to be low as that is what the engine is using for the 'engine temp' scale and ignition retard

I had to find some excuse for not coming up with $150k (or whatever)!
  17. 1 point
I agree. $30k is probably realistic. Pros: 100km (on the lower end of k's in the E46 M3 market). Topaz Blue. Body appears to be tidy. Three pedals + Rogue short shifter (OEM shifter is junk). Cons: Ex-Singapore. 20" aftermarket wheels . No mention of Inspection II being completed, or major service in the last 15,000km . Pre-facelift (mainly cosmetic items), and rod bearing issue if not already addressed. The subframe issue is something I would only really be concerned about if it was on coilovers or aftermarket springs, and/or was SMG. If the PPI gives the all-clear then just keep an eye on it, or foam reinforce it before it begins to crack.

$37k? And no mention of VANOS or subframe overhauls. Heck for $37k I'd expect the rod bearings to have been replaced also. I say dreaming.

Welcome to the forum, I think that is possibly the cleanest e39 engine bay I have ever seen !

Yeah. I've decided to keep the 750i after all. I need a van which will become my daily and given it's rarity the 750i makes more sense as a weekend cruiser.. It's taken a while for me to come to grips with it but at the end of the day I can always get another 740i, I may never find another 750i though.

Got around to fitting Freeview tuner module in the M3. Nice and straight forward install. (blue board in photo) more info on kit at www.pibus.info Reworking a couple of areas of my car stereo where in hindsight I should have done better.
