Blah i wish mate, me and coffee are great mates ! Had a customer of sorts the ring and asked if i got his email of 2 weeks, i replied yes and when i get a chance ill configure all you need for your setup. His reply " but i need it now and you could potentially get a turbo sale from it" Potentially ? I asked, so he got told how it was. I've got well over 400 messages on my FB page to which i answered 100 of them one night ( they keep growing ) till 2 am and over the next week 5 people replied....so i may potentially get a sale from you? He changed his tune.

Eventually these sellers realise there isn't a big market for a 11.5k old Limo that's 20 years old, Will have to drop it two or three thousand and then they may find someone quirky enough to buy such a car. That advertising with the mags is pathetic & misleading though. LOOK, BBSs on a 750il! But sorry, comes with 16s... and I'm still asking top dollar.. pfft.

imagine looking at the listing with the car on original wheels. I would laugh at the $11,500 asking price and not look twice. even with the bbs its still expensive as hell..

This example has sat on Trademe for what seems like the past 18-24 months without selling. No VIN or plate on auction...K's seem suspicious as personally I don't think the photos reflect a 45,000km car (or at least someone who has properly cared for it over the claimed '45,000km'). My 2c? Tasteless mods, import, lack of service history, potentially troublesome SMG = overpriced. There are plenty of other M3's that will come up for sale at or around $27,000 that will be far better value for money.

I also forgot to mention guru Fabian from Coombes J BMW for kindly lending us a couple of tools to get the job done... Thanks very much... Over the last few days did some more cleaning and painting of exhaust brackets etc and also changed out the timing chain tensioner, plus a few more clear coat scratches removed down the passengers side...

Good progress Friday but shite Saturday. Managed to wing a weekend off from the Fam Dams so I can play with the car. After convincing myself that I should definitely NOT to upgrade most of the fuel system in one go, I woke and did just that. SO removed the Stage 2 fuel kit/pump a Walbro 450G/hr, I put together a Stage 4 system of 3 x Walbro 450G/hr and meaty electrical system. Almost there. BEFORE = Stage 2 - 1 x 450G/hr AFTER = Stage 4 - 3 x 450G/hr With the intake manifold change, there are some wires to extend, my friend Lars will do this tomorrow or else he can stop drinking my beers. Dummy slapped the turbo into position Hmm, heaps of sh*t to sort out

Nice work. I used to pay the odd visit to Mr Mosen's garage in Cambridge, probably almost 25 years ago as a teen. I remember getting very close to buying a 2002ti off the other mechanic he used to share the yard with at the time...should have done it. Not that the 260z I bought instead of ever disappointed...good times.

Got home early to try and get something done. Felt exhausted - work has been too much this week. So sat and looked at the car instead. Through the rain which started as soon as I got home, just to ensure I wasn't going to get anything sorted.

1996 Pre facelift, jap import. With BBSs I'd say 9 or 10k top price for everything perfect. 5 or 6 k tops otherwise. Simply you can do better for cheaper there are more around then you think.

yes, the standard sales fail. picture the car for sale with something that's not for sale. turn off your buyers instantly! easier to describe and picture what they're going to get for parting with their hard-earned.

Today, with the excellent help from Kerry of Mosen Euro Parts (Hamilton) we did the RMS, flywheel, clutch, gearbox oil, driveshaft coupling, shifter parts, and O2 sensors on my M5, plus a bit of cleaning etc as we went along. Six hours in total, pretty straight forward with all the right tools including a hoist and trans jack. The exhaust took a bit of mucking around to get off and on, one gearbox mounting bolt had rounded off and we had to get "creative" but all in all a great day - fricken cold though...
