After 4 months off the road (the day after I bought it), it's sorted for the meantime.... A heap of fun with the SSG box and something just a bit different... it goes very well... had to run the software for the SSG bleeding and adaptions. Things sorted include; OFHG leak, slave cyl leak, new WP, Thermo, plugs, CCV hoses, idlers, exp tank, engine and trans mounts, full underside clean, new road wheel, replacement steering wheel, new gearknob, curb rash, headlight fog, bit of paint, trim, emblems etc etc etc... After a breather, may get into a bit of painting... Be keen to know of any detail as to how many clubsports may be around?

Genuine 1 lady owner. She bought it off BMW Rotorua at 10,000k in 2004 as a demo (paid $108k), and drove it for the next 290,000km doing the basics. I don't think she shirked on it but I suspect once she was told the SSG was leaking hydraulic oil (she didn't tell me lol) and it was going to cost $$$$$$$ (as they all say that - not necessarily true...) she lost the will a bit and parked it up for the last 2 years or so. I'm surprised it drove OK coming over the Kaimai's on purchase day - given everything that was going on with it...

carbon fibre roof, cut out the parcel self in the back, clean off all the underseal under the car. I only got 1.3 seconds up my sleeve before I have to move into group A and that's a whole different ball game.

new season has arrived 2019-2020. Hampton downs best lap 1.14.3 race 1 wrecked my front splitter in Qualifying. spent the last week, 10 days fixing the car. problems..... spraying oil from the dipstick (I think), silicon to see if that works . cut an extra 20mm out of the rear guards to see if that stops the rubbing. ( softened up the rear shocks so there's more roll in the body) . fiberglassing up the front. I finished all 3 races, car was outstanding. driver has room to improve. ill add the car with me and a full tank of gas weighs 1266kgs

Hello again. Just a quick update - I recently got some Euro style clear indicator lenses for Bluewater. As mentioned previously - this had me frustrated from the day the car arrived in my drive way. I hadn't noticed it previously, and it really bothered me - heightened by the tone of my car's hue - Bluewater Metallic which clashed with the amber lenses. I have some photos to share. Sadly, I am currently dependent on my iphone for photos - most of the photographic content on this forum puts my output to shame. Especially ADRO - man he sets a high benchmark with his beautiful photography! Hopefully - sooner rather than later I will be able to add some high quality photos of Bluewater on this forum. I take it out most weekends - and it really is one of the highlights of the week. What makes me sad living in the USA is seeing so many of these amazing cars being neglected. I have seen 2 awful examples this week in Carbon Black that clearly had seen better days. Don't think I'd ever see examples like that in NZ.

What a plonker, seem that after looking at some photos my car doesn't have key cylinder on the passenger's side . Hi guys As some of you may know, I have been removing all the hardware from my old door to transfer into my new door. The last part to be removed was my door handle, I placed it on the bench. (face down) along with all the other parts. Spent a bit off time contemplating the reinstall. Then decided to first give all the parts a good clean and relube. Picked up my door handle only to notice the key Cylinder was missing ? Can the cylinder just fall out ?

Thanks again. Didn't get pinged for import duty or GST. I've noticed some places seem to fly under the radar. ECS Tuning is not one of them, been charged every time.

I think that's a real one. LHD with the appropriate EC spec instrument cluster and build plaque. The E36 touring was never imported to Japan as a new car. https://germancarsforsaleblog.com/tuner-tuesday-1997-alpina-b6-2-8-touring/

You will not get much change out of $500 for a Z3 rack, so the manual rack for $150 may not be so bad.

theres room for improvement, john. same trick as the last time I ripped off the splitter. to fast into turn 1 coming up behind a slower car went to go around the outside he moved over a touch and I dropped a wheel off the ripple strip closing the gap between the road and the splitter from 50mm to -60 something like that.
