I have done a bit more tidying on the BMW. Boot spoiler back on.. Next lil project is the front bumper tidy and refit fog lights. Oh I got it a WOF now so hopefully can participate in any local meets. (have painted the black bumper inserts since these pics!)

This is a good read with pics: https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=36349 They don't necessarily need replacing but they're apparently worth checking and the inside one is the more difficult one to get to, if it's easy to check with the oil filter housing out of the way I'd do it then. See here as well: https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1491080

I'm friends with Lance Burdett who runs WARN International. Very interesting guy and an excellent presenter. Mindfulness is one of those things that so many people regard as a bit wishy-washy but it does make sense when you get involved. Lots of little things can help. @Jacko's comment at the top about going for a drive is a great example; another is that I've been taking the pup for a walk on the beach each day. I love the beach - could sit there for hours and just watch the sea. Just listening to music can make a difference. Just doing some of these things can help. The issue is that at the end of it, my mind is either clear and identifying way(s) forward, or it is a vacuum and all the stress just floods back in.

Disagree. Nothing wrong with asking a quick question. As a seller it shouldn't take you long to answer it. I'd prefer to answer quick questions there and cut down on unnecessary phone calls. Phone calls waste even more time and interrupt you at non-ideal times. Plus it can save you from repeat questions since the answers are visible to everyone. Never had any trouble with handling questions on my own listings. I only get a few, by not being a fool like the seller we're discussing here you won't get flooded with silly/confronting questions.

I think you've made this rant before? It sounds familiar.. I'm pretty much the opposite. I prefer to ask questions and get a feel for the sellers attitude and honesty before physically viewing. Often i don't bother pursuing if the response is "phone me", etc. or sarcastic, dishonest, combative, etc. Sometimes i don't view until after I've bought depending on the circumstances (so questions can be quite important). I've bought and sold many on trademe and various forums over the years and find this approach works equally well for me. Different strokes for different folks.

Interesting looking VW ,not my cup of tea. Launching into a small rant here so please indulge me. What has happened to way we buy cars? Surely if you have interest in such a car, pick up the phone, make contact, inspect, and make an informed decision. The Q & A section on these listings is just turning into a total waste of time for both the seller and the buyer. There are probably statistics that determine the success rate from inquiry and I'd imagine its something less than 5% on this trading site. So like night follows day inevitably the dopes come out of the woodwork doing their best to wind up the seller, and at the end of the listing we have a no sale occurring. I reckon the seller has displayed restraint, accordingly we give applause here, and wish him good luck with the auction. Concluding, in our 18 years trade me membership we have never made an online inquiry on any car, and have bought quite a few, probably fifteen or sixteen. See it, become interested, check it out, negotiate the price, drive it home. Simple. However, as some of have posters have said, this listing is a bit of a giggle. Better than TV😂

A little more progress over the weekend, the under car welding is now complete !!! Just a little stitch welding behind the spring perches and on the RTA pockets. 2 Coats of epoxy primer on ... just seam sealer and underseal to go then can start the big clean ready for top coats.

Just a little more preparatory work so I can tidy up the under body properly ... removed the side skirts, front guard liners and the rear brake + fuel lines. The painting is going to be a bit of a drama as if I want to spray it, its looking like I'll have to do that myself and that involves investing in a fed air respirator as the only mobile painter isn't interested. Might try and roll / brush it still to see how annoying it is.

Is there any chance of reviving the pictures in this thread? Would be such a good resource for building my own.
