I may have issues with authority figures trying to push their agenda on me when they have no idea. Let me put it another way, our illustrious leader says utes are bad news, farmers, tradies, jaffa's and the like are abusing the intention of the "ute" - how dare they have freedom of choice ? (or buy something that can cope with the amazingly well maintained roads, go light rail yay it will save us all) My solution - buy a V10, use it like a ute................... I won't claim to be the first person to point a finger at the govt, but I'm probably the first person in my neck of the woods to rock up to Farm Source and pound 60kg of sheep feed in the boot of a superwagon. I like my ute, it's got a bang'n stereo 😎

yes a faulty regulator could possibly cause a battery drain, depending on how it has failed, you also need to consider whether the faulty regulator killed the battery, or did a knackered battery kill the regulator?

Hi, I’m looking for a full set of factory springs for my 1998 E39 540i. I’m in Christchurch so would be great if located nearby.

Karmann and Baur made a massive contribution to motor vehicle production. Baur manufactured the BMW M1, the Porsche 959, the suspension components for the Audi Quattro, and a convertible version of the Mercedes G-Wagen.

^ looking at the list of things they made, it was amazing, a shock they closed shop in 2010.

Doing a search, you're right it's called a "virtual restomod", wow. That is phenomenal detail for rendered images. CAD systems have come so far with the 3D modelling now, as you can tell I can't work out what is real and what is "virtual". Other images have complete detail in the engine bay (M5 V8).

Got there tonight. Couple of nuts seized on the exhaust manifold, but not bad for thirty-five years old. Above: Head gasket is in one piece, but absolutely covered in sealer. Above: As is the head. What's the best method for cleaning it out of all the coolant passages? The two head bolt holes on the right-hand side of this image (cylinder six) were full of oil, none of the others were. Is that normal? Above: This head bolt hole between cylinders one and two was really dry and full of powder, I have no idea what it is or why, can anyone help? Above: This scratch was the most concerning issue, on the intake side of cylinder one. Looks like a scratch rather than a crack. Can't be from removal tonight as I hoisted the head in one go and gently lowered it onto a couple of blocks of wood so the head wasn't resting on the valves. There's no corresponding marks on the block. Any advice is really appreciated as I haven't done this before. Cheers.

Newest acquisition: Recaro Pole Position ABE's de-badged and trimmed in M texture to match. These will do nicely... Breykrause brackets on their way to mount to a set of OEM manual sliders.

One side of the headers are completely mocked up now, managed to get the lengths the same to less than half a mm which is a good result. Modeled them up so I have a long term record but will need some tweaking due to errors introduced going from plastic to digital. Will likely build off the glued up plastic tubes making jigs to support the tubes at key locations.
