Excellent value, even though I bet those are DIY retrimmed with the L-Seat premade leather covers. Meanwhile in NZ, a set of ragged out front sport seats is easily $1500 plus and I spent over $5k on my retrim (although that was with near unobtanium OEM fabric / seat shocks / frame welding and custom door cards).

Any colour you like, as long as it's black (or blue).

I think its the same firm I enquired about seats with last year, was looking at from memory $1400 USD to send four seats. But my memory may be lacking. They appear to do good work but I wanted cloth, and ideally, Sports seats in “SE” fabric ie a custom build, and they cannot get the SE striped fabric, plus toooo expensive

$2000 shipped… but yeah probably not to NZ! To be honest re-trimmed full leather interior at US$2000 is pretty good buying. Try to find a set of seats and panels plus to get re-trimmed I would suggest you would be looking at well north of that price. There is still some good buying to be had on some E30 stuff overseas, if it’s something that is easy to ship.

Had been looking for a replacement for the F01 750i for a while, thinking about a G01 or a X3/4 M40i then this X5M in Melbourne Red rocked up for sale. Never been a SUV guy but super impressed by the ride and handling combination this thing gives. Plus add 550hp is a pretty good recipe. Impressive spec interior, sounds great, good tech, nice to have that elevated ride with so many Ute’s etc on the road. If you can’t bet em…. With a big warranty 😁 plus matches the bosses i3 upgrade in Melbourne Red also. Let the fun begin.

I have some lowering springs to go in my E46 and the dilemma is always, while you're in there you might as well put in some bilsteins, new strut tops, those things that spread the weight better (so you don't get cracking or bowing - I forget the term), wheel alignment, etc, etc and it soon becomes an expensive exercise. Is your car a motorsport? Mine is, and it already has a mild drop compared to what I can see of your profile pic. I'm going to look at an E46 at the weekend that I'm told is on Z3 springs and that thing is quite 'slammed'. Might be something to look into?

Personal preference I suppose. Coilovers need cert and aren't necessary always better, depends on what you get and what you you are using the car for. My TRW struts and shock with eibach springs would cost me about $750 landed if I bought today.

Ended up with a 2016 Octavia VRS, DSG with 162kw, NZ new with one owner (other than Skoda NZ who used it as promo car for cycling event) and 72000km on the clock. Looked after by the one skoda dealer since new. Will haul it back from Welly later in the week, good shake down drive

enjoy it while it lasts , be 80km per hour the whole way before you know it, yes I still ignore the 80 on the taupo road but its easier to get over the 40km over limit where the penalties get serious and they are investing in a whole lot of new cameras including timed gates, imagine when they clock you at start of journey and end and can calculate the difference,
