    Replaced my crusty 1/16th of one accelerator linkage bushing with two new ones. love the little jobs that make a bit difference!

    New colour stripes for the badge on the M5, random ones from eBay, the red looks a bit too red, but I might just be used to the old faded one...

    Spent an hour or so at greasy hands replacing the 2 front exhaust gaskets in the M5 and recovering a torx key that ended up on the under tray when I replaced a coil 2 weeks ago, cost about $43, guys seem pretty good, they are car guys and they operate the hoist for you, basic tools are provided but I recommend taking any special tools you might need, and a light of some description. There is a H and S induction and forms to fill out before entry, but they keep them on file so you only have to do it the first time, hoists are all new and there are 4, as a bonus they are only 5 minutes from home!! Recommended for servicing or basic jobs that are a lot easier on a hoist, suspension bushes, exhaust stuff, driveline, etc. Edit, you need to wear good shoes (no jandals, duh!). They also require you to wear a high vis vest, safety glasses and gloves, if you don't bring your own you can purchase them on site.

    NZ new, 2004 330i, 6speed. 203xxxKms VERY good condition, always garaged etc, usual cooling system work done.., 2x Keys converted to manual. - all genuine parts, 2.93 diff etc as factory with a S54 pressure plate and flywheel. Retrofitted from factory: Navigation system Mk4, HiFi 10speaker audio, ULF bluetooth phone kit. aux in, USB charger. Bi-Xenon headlights. Tyre pressure monitoring - (abs module upgrade/switch on console/cluster coding ) Lumbar support on both front seats. Piano black interior trim. Reverse camera. Coupe rear wing - (I know there will be haters, its on there already ) Plate not included. decent pics coming soon, any questions please ask. I know someone will say it: - it hasn't been certed for the conversion, selling with a new WOF, - If you want to buy it, and want it certed: sale price + cost of cert and I'll get it done for you. not on Trademe yet.. thinking $14000? - constructive feedback on price welcome?

    After a period as an in-patient to the "e39 rescue" hospital, this 217k NZ new Oxford Green II 525i Msport is now ready for its next lucky owner not to have to do what I have... The parts list is long, the hours are unrecorded, and anyone interested should contact me via private message here.

    Factory standard for NZ new cars 😂 What is it with spiders in NZ wanting to make a home in cars and covering them with big thick webs? I finally got around to fitting the Tech-I spoiler on the boot of the vert. Always been a bit scared about drilling holes in the boot, but I made a template off an old drilled boot I have and it worked pretty well. It’s a little out of position L-R but It’s only bolted on for the summer, will tidy it up when i take it all for some panel and paint at Takapuna Panelbeaters in the winter.

    Had quite a few of them. One of my old ones was listed for $65k just a few weeks back. I imported it for $6k in 2003. My wife still has her S13. She often laughs when people tell her it's worth $30k. She paid $3k for it. And would never pay anywhere near $30k for one. Just like E30s, they were only good because they were cheap.

    Yep can sort the ABS pump too at the same time, that's easy done. Just keep in touch with me, not always on here at the moment as life is too busy, but we can make this happen easy enough. Got plenty of tools here too so you won't need to bring anything. Message me in a little while and I'll let you know a rough estimate of when I can get to it, and work out a plan with you.

    So the M5 failed its WOF on excessive play in a lower front control arm, Continental cars sent me a video showing significant movement of the front wheel (by hand) due to the rubber bush giving up. I replaced the front control arms a few years ago with new Meyle HD units and i am aware that big heavy BMW wagons like to eat suspension bushes, but i am seriously considering changing to a spherical bearing type set up using the Turner motorsport kit to try and get a bit more life out of them. Has anyone done this conversion, and if so what are the pros and cons? My main concern is putting more stress on the chassis at the suspension mounting points as they were designed to work in conjunction with rubber bushes not spherical bearings, but i suspect i am being overly cautious and they will be fine, thoughts? Price wise the kit for both sides is within a few dollars of 1 new genuine BMW control arm, but considerably more that 2 new replacement rubber bushes, so i am happy to spend the money if they last a decent amount of time.
