Hi all Finally managed to get my 2017 F30 340i on the dyno this morning. Running Bootmod3 Stage 1 93 Octane map and XHP transmission flash, Stage 3, otherwise stock. I was genuinely surprised at the power generated here, considering that stock standard it's meant to have 240kW, 322HP and 450Nm. Now with a few software tweaks, it's got ~309kW, 414HP and 600Nm at the wheels. Incredible! Highly recommend Prestige Motorsport if you're in the Wellington region too, they were really accommodating and super nice guys.

Noico is another. But you do need to watch the glues used especially when sticking to hot inverted panels and some have an ongoing smell which happened to a colleagues audio build and his car still smells on hot days a couple of years after the install ( can’t remember the brand sorry ) Go over to diymoblieaudio.com and have a look at the CLD reviews. Some people have gone to great lengths to test the stuff. Personally I’d use Dynamat again for the glues used and no issues years after

Most definitely, can't complain about the price! By the time I had the car shipped it owes me $1.6K, but even then I'm still very happy. Have seen that the W8 specific Remus mufflers alone retail for $700usd... each! Let alone the 6 Speed gearbox which is worth a few $$$, along with the Cats, Recaro seats, Tuned ECU, and BBS Madras + many, many other random bits. Just a bit of a bummer from an automotive moralistic point of view that such a rare car will be parted - but oh well, its life. HAHAHA, if I had a personal accountant (i.e a girlfriend) they would definitely request I block you, but luckily I don't so please keep suggesting terribly awesome cars for me to buy! I did see this one, would be a great recipient of the euro bumper & bootlid, however I've decided that a suitable shell swap candidate must be: 1) Silver 2) Wagon Only because my sedan needs a matching partner... Have seen a few silver sedans around, will potentially pick one up in the next few months I suspect - rationally justified as a "PRACTICAL" addition to the fleet I aim to start parting out the black car this weekend, anyone want a souvenir? 🤣

Took car in for its Cert inspection today. Few things to rectify after talking to Paul, main concern being the removal of the front seatbelt pretensioners. Currently I have just bolted the rear seat belt buckles to the transmission tunnel, but it appears the pretensioner must be kept. So ive managed to remove it from the oem seat, and disassembled the big yellow connector to now only contain the pretensioner plug inside of it so the connection to the car remains as it was from factory and no wires in the OEM seat had to be cut. Now will just bolt that to the transmission tunnel. Other than that, just needs a few more spring washers in some places, wanted some more information around the brake swap especially the adapter brackets, and to level out the front ride height, seems to be about 8mm difference across left to right. Mostly pretty straightforward stuff, took a bit of thinking with the pretensioners but should be somewhat straight forward from here, and then hopefully a legal car soon, once I pass the wof it failed for exhaust being too loud and the front right headlight angle being wrong...

Niiiiice. That's exactly why I'm hanging out for an M240i rather than getting into an M235i now.

Sad, but $951 is a cheap gearbox.

AirBNB is dead. The Hotel industry beat it to near death. Then scammers and ripoffs finished it off. You just can't trust the platform. That and I spent too much time on Reddit reading stories of people being robbed by people who have copied keys etc.

Hey Julian, thanks for the welcome, judging by your avatar you're in the NZRAF? I've worked in the kitchens at Whenuapai a few times! Picked the car up on Saturday, had Android auto installed yesterday, loving the car but there are a couple of things I need to sort out. Air con needs regassing (getting that done tomorrow). Headlights need restoring, I bought the Mothers kit to try it myself but didn't do a great job, the cracking is pretty bad on the polycarbonate covers, so I've booked it in to sort on Friday. The biggest issue I have with it though, which I knew about, but was reflected in price, is the sunroof cover, the back part of it is stuck open, with some time and patience, I'm going to remove the roof lining and explore what's wrong, but it's not really a big deal atm, I don't mind the sunroof being exposed anyway lol. Apart from that, the car is is immaculate condition, the paintwork is perfect, and so shiny, it almost looks like liquid! The interior too, is in fantastic condition for a 10 yr old car. Anyway....pics....

There was a pair came up on Facebook a while back, being sold by someone who didn't know what they were. They weren't ours, but were listed immediately after we had two rims stolen off the Baur while it was parked, in daylight, in Hamilton. We were gone from the car for perhaps 25 minutes. I tried for ages to find a replacement pair, before giving up, and refitting the 14s that were original. 😭
