A reasonably priced M325i from Webbs. Done little mileage since first for sale in 2016 and then again in 2018 as per pics. Sadly one of the several delphin cars that were specced with "questionable" interior colours...

Installed a Gauge S by Sorek (as seen on M539 restorations awhile back). Originally for the E30 and E36 instrument cluster but he progressed to E46\E39 and now E9X chassis. Pretty handy device which is quite capable of many things like data logging and is very customizable. Best of all it still has the OEM look, doesn't get it the way of anything and is reasonably priced. Pretty quick and easy to install as it just taps into instrument cluster wiring, only complaint was the supplied wires were too short which was a bit annoying and i had to lengthen them (RHD thing maybe). Also Installed and wired in Bosch PST oil pressure\temperature sensor using a modified M14x1.5 banjo bolt. This was much more involved as i had to have factory looking install into existing looms, no wiring cut using home made tee adaptors and all crimped OE terminals\plugs. Wasted a bit time\money finding out how i wanted to do it. but shouldnt even have to touch it again. Sorek has the tables\coded done for this sensor using the extra analog connector so its just a matter of copy pasting some code into the memory. Very cheap way to get this data compared to analog gauges. Thanks to @Vass for sending me a OBD port cover which is required to display K-line data when closed. Im sure he will do a proper write up one day as forgot to take detailed photos of most of it. Pretty straight forward regardless.

The major engine work is now done. 4 lifters were squishy so replaced all 12. This was a thunder c&nt to remove (blind plug for locking the flywheel at tdc. The end you pull on snapped off so I spent about 4 hours stabbing and hitting it with a punch and bfh until it slid most of the way in to the flywheel. Then use the locking mandrel with a prybar to lever it all the way through. It got stuck to the flywheel so was able to remove it via the starter motor hole. The exhaust cam bearing and ledge journals had seen better days. Got the cam polished and lightly sanded the scoring on the caps. The state they were in: After a polish and sanding followed by a quick clean up: Engine timed up and now waiting for a few little gaskets and bits to arrive for the intake manifold. The large Disa is cooked so taking a gamble with a new one from aliexpress.

On another note, I wonder which crack head priced the auction estimate on this...

Redid the M52>M54 exhaust joins with some E36 M52B28 pipes i spotted at pick a part. E36's pipe uses sightly different bends for one bank and is 1.6mm thick vs 1.2mm cost cutted E46 piping, not ideal again with some filler rod needed in spots but much cleaner and higher quality so than before.

More progress tonight. Decided I may as well do it once and do it right so got straight back into it after work tonight. Pulled the dash out, as well as the entire AC/heater core unit. Bit of a tedious job with all the wires (not actually that many of them). was stoked to find almost no rust, apart from a small amount on the lip that I showed in photos from the outside earlier, which was the main motivation for pulling it all out in order to be able to access it properly and fix it properly. most rusty part was the wiper motor mount, luckily no rust transferred from the mount bracket to the car itself so I’ve removed it and will be getting acid dipped sand blasted and repainted, before being reinstalled after the whole engine bay has been painted.

For Sale - 2006 BMW E87 130i M-sport, 3.0L six speed manual with RWD. 185k kms. White(AlpinWeiss 3)with Black(Boston) Leather interior. Pre-LCI. Japanese import with climate air, electric heated seats, HiFi Professional, Xenons, Idrive (upgraded modern screen with Carplay and Android Auto), window rain guards and fully featured M-sport with trims/bumpers/sill plates/wheel. Rear wiper delete. Regularly serviced and maintained. Major items like coils, starter, waterpump, mickey mouse flange, vvt solenoids, vvt motor and DISAs all done. There have been many engine parts and other items replaced with OE parts in the last 10,000 kms, mostly preventatively, for future enjoyment of the car. Full list of items and receipts available. After getting the car mechanically correct, I had begun doing cosmetic work this year, to get the car perfect. It's in good condition for its age. With a 195kw N52 3.0L straight six engine, manual RWD and 50/50 weight distribution means this a a very well handling and driving vehicle that puts a smile on your face every time you take it out on the road. While also being comfortable cruising along at the speed limit. This is an unexpected and reluctant sale, of a car I intended to keep for a long time. Enthusiast owned, it has been tastefully modified with parts of the highest quality to improve the ride, feel and driver experience. Just replacing the wheels/suspension and exhaust alone would cost at least 10k, before shipping, from Japan/Europe, and that's without the additional cost of certification, or taking into account the rare original BMW Performance parts on the interior and exterior. Modifications : K&N air filter and Turner Motorsports intake for better breathing. Work Emotion D9R staggered 18" Wheels in 5*120 stud pattern, with offset specifically ordered for this car special order from Japan. Recently refurbished. Supposedly the only set in 5*120 in NZ. Work no longer makes these wheels in 5*120 stud pattern. RE003 Tyres all round in good condition Supersprint Exhaust backbox, no longer being manufactured BMWP AERO Spoiler, No longer available from BMW Ohlins Road & Track Coilover Suspension System for BMW 1 series - front and rear Certified for Wheels/Suspension Alcantara mirror/instrument binnacle BMW Performance interior parts, handbrake cover/handle, shifter gaiter, pedals and BMW ZHP weighted shift knob. Most BMWP parts are no longer available from BMW Transmission Shifter Bushing upgrade to improve shift quality Android/Carplay idrive screen replacement Cosmetically, on the exterior there's a small dent in the left rear crease line. Slight damage to front bumper plastic next to license plate. Some stone chips on the front and very shallow dent on the roof from prior owners roof racks. Otherwise it's looks pretty good and cleans up well. The interior, everything is in good condition with several touch parts newly replaced. Headliner is sagging and has been pinned up. Steering wheel insert has some wear. Mechanically, sump gasket has a slight weep. I have many brand new OE and OEM parts for the car, roughly $1.5k worth (not including shipping costs) including a full sump gasket replacement kit, engine mounts, steering wheel leather, steering wheel inserts from BMW and BMWP, oil filters, bulbs, BMW and Work wheel caps, plus several others including duplicate parts. Everything is new in box except for the original BMW wheel caps. I also have used original BMW Roof racks for the car. All parts can be sold with the car at extra cost. $12000 or $13000 with all of the parts

The FR bumper mount/chassis rail looks to be pushed in. Not economical from an insurance point of view but I'm guessing it wouldn't be awfully difficult to repair if you wanted a tidy coupe shell.

I just spent hours trying to remove makeup which was on nearly every surface of a 130 I purchased. I had this on hand. https://www.supercheapauto.co.nz/p/meguiars-meguiars-quik-interior-detailer-473ml/119531.html It did a good job but did require a bit of rubbing with a microfiber.

Oh dear, thats not good news at all. Sanjay was most certainly a wealth of knowledge. Almost a 'BMW Encyclopaedia' it seemed to us noobies. (Actually used to wonder exactly where he got such detailed info). Feelings go out to bimmersport and of course all his family and friends.

Starters pretty easy to take out. Just unbolt the manifold and move it out of the way. Picked up a cheap 06 Auto today. Needs paint but otherwise has an extensive service history including it's Japanese history.
