Day Tuesday. Box if beers as bribery and got some mates around to install box. Cut the heads off two of the old ali bolts to use as guide "studs" It went in and about 3minutes, all lined up freakishly well. No butchery required, very minor jiggling. The top bolts were again a total nightmare to get in and torque, took about an hour per bolt, other than that all went smoothly. Pic of the extension setup used, and all the tape to hold the head of bolt in socket and the universals tight enough to guide the bolts in. Shifter reinstalled, feels amazeballs. Clutch bled, its all downhill from here! Looking forward to seeing the difference.

Yesterday it was the c-clips used to secure bundles of wires. One every 6 inches or so it seems... Great fun when they're on the firewall: slot head screw on the inside of the vehicle in the top of the footwell of the bulkhead, and a nut in the engine bay!

Old oil can be taken to any repco or supercheap for free. They have a big bin for oil recycling.

A fine gentleman here (thanks Mark!) donated his old stock M3 suspension to my 328 adventure so I'm in the process of building up the bit I need. I'll be doing the rear first, then front then sway bars. Sure, ideal to do it all at once but time and budgets don't allow that. I'll only get the alignment done once I've done the front end. The new and/or refurbed bits... I couldn't be bothered getting the shocks, springs and dust covers out for the photo...

Got to love the internet and the advice that comes with it. Inspection 1/2 services haven't been used since the e83, everything is now CBS (Condition Based Servicing) LL04 is long life oil for diesels, LL01 is for petrol vehicles. With CBS, every oil service, the microfilter is also due to be replaced. Every 2nd or 3rd oil service, depending on the car, the , fuel filter, air filter, whatever, those additionals you can't see via the dash. Brake fluid is also due every 2 years regardless of mileage so it is very possible that everything lines up depending on the mileage and the history of the car. It shows the big service because of what I've said above, the other service you need to be aware of for the 130i is that the spark plugs are due at 100kms

Yes, they do consolidation. they do re-packaging. they wont split an incoming shipment. You have excellent control through the web portal or the phone app. basically they everything that you shop does, more and better. You choose your carrier... I get option on two versions of FedEx, DHL, two versions of UPS, and "Budget" (no consolidation, 7-14 days). DHL is only one doing batteries now. You get your own address. All the carriers deliver there. It's in Florida. I find that using FedEx I get it here in 4 days, as long as I press 'send' before Thursday US time. Unless they're really busy. Look here: https://www.myus.com/benefits/ Buy here: https://www.myus.com/welcome/visa/ - this way you get: • Set-up fee waived (US$20 value) • 2-year free Premium membership (US$120 value) • Save 25% on shipping for first month • Save 20% on future shipments • Personal Shopper service can make purchases for you premium gives you 30 days no-charge storage. Then they just charge you a per-day, per package rate. Theyve always packged well - "the right amount". Hey, I'm not here to sell you. You just seem traumatised from You Shop. There are other, service-oriented offerings. HTH.

Changed out the driver's door window regulator. Actually changed it out on Saturday, then again on Sunday while I worked out why the new (aftermarket ) regulator wouldn't work, and finally today, when I sucked it up and got a used regulator from a wrecker. The used part might be 15 years old, but at least the drive pulley isn't made of cheese.

Hi all, I'm on the Wellington club committee and we're putting together a video from the day that we'd like to use to publicise the club's activities. If you attended and do not wish to have you car included, please PM me with your model and rego and I will ensure it is excluded. Oh, by the way, if anyone has some video from the day it would be great if we could include it!
