Not E30 springs eh? -
Look first, original listing had a comment from someone who had seen them that 2 were buckled or bent. Be careful. Near the bottom. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=225348378

Bloody journos, calling it an E34 M5 V8?
-
Not in this case, but isn't that why we do these things?
-
Perfect thanks. Pity they're not 3 piece.
-
For an 85 E23, but they're too big thanks Mitch.

I have a set I'm looking at, but about $2200?

After a set of 2 or 3 piece baskets for the 7 series. Must be 16 or 17 inch x 8 or 8.5 inch, 5 x 120, offset 10 to 20, and in good to excel cond. How much?

Auto at the moment, but I have a conversion for it. It's still in storage, hope to pick it up in a week or so, will post some pics then.

From Wiki, A different 745i was built for the South Africa market, because the turbocharger on the European-market 745i could not be installed in right-hand-drive versions of the car due to space restrictions in the engine bay (in RHD configuration, the steering shaft occupied the space where the turbocharger/exhaust was located on LHD versions). This car was fitted with the 286 hp (213 kW) dual-camshaft 24-valve type-M88 /3 Motorsport engine (with a Bosch ML-Jetronic fuel injection system) as used in the M635i, and M5. 209 of these cars were built between 1984 and 1986, fitted with either an automatic transmission or a 5-speed 'sport' gearbox. Of the 209 cars built 192 were automatics and 17 were fitted with manual gearboxes. BMW South Africa ran one of these 745i models in Class A of the South African Modified Saloon Car Championship, the only BMW-Sanctioned motor sport application in the history of BMW 7-series cars. I have one of these.

E23, M88, 745i. Closest thing to an M7. Only 7 ever raced by the factory. Say no more.

Haven't heard of anyone in either Bmw race group having problems with the tower tops. Some run strut braces but most don't from what I've seen. Even when I hit the pit wall at 80 odd k's I didn't do any damage to the tower, all the movement was in the chassis rail.

Get a heat gun onto it, I was lucky with one I did, it almost fell off. But one of the others was a real pita. I got mine off with a 4" grinder with new disks.

In 85, the 323 was $31,390, 528i was $41,450, 735i was $62,500. In 88, the 320i was $57,500, 325i was $72,600, 535i was $96,000, 735 was $127,500, 750i was $216,200.

Would have thought you'd be best to set up under load, with the aid of a wheel alignment machine, especially if you are fitting the adjustable ones?
-
I think there are 6 points where it has brackets going accross to the gutter, cut them carefully with a grinder, cut right around the sunroof opening with the grinder, leaving enough drop down to fit your perspex, then use a heat gun and stanley knife to cut the sealed bits, use plenty of heat, and be careful as the roof damages easily. The whole thing should then drop out.

The front air dam and those arches are around $2500 for me to land here, so what do you think?

The speed show at Manukau last year had Dixon's Indy car, and a Ferrari F1, 2007 version from memory. The F1 was sooooo small beside the Indy car.
