  1. Only 4 in NZ.. ours is going on sale this week...21,000km on ours. And only 7 of these built to our build spec in the world. Ours is probably more unique and only 2 owners
  2. New viscous coupling I'm afraid. If that is what is making the sound

    Rampant Phase III

Temperature probes and some cars had steel heat shields held on by them..only seen 1 like that though Heat wrap could be a go.. hard to do as you say...especially in place

    Rampant Phase III

Personaly I wouldnt do that if there was another way Graham, the shield will absorb heat and transfer it into the hose. Especially if it is alluminium. Its a shame its all been built on the exhaust side. Not realy ideal having the SC so close to an exhaust system.... mind you the heat transfer might be quite minimal though. If the hoses are straight, what about running them through some alloy tube so the hose doesnt touch the tube itself ? Any pictures of the SC on the motor ??
  5. I bet you rang them Brian to see if they had a vacancy
  6. I realy dont think you are going to find what you are looking for with a $1,000 budget
  7. As a band aid maybe. I dont think thats the answer hes looking for...... I would suggest you get the leak checked and repaired, and service the transmission at the same time. The correct oil is G3, I would suggest you use G3 full synthetic.
  8. Lost my memory... are you a niece or a nephew ???
  9. I only started it for a joke... with the 45yr olds permission ( cough ) Ouch !!...lol

  11. Obviously you need professional help as a self confessed noob... I suggest you seek professional help before this turns disasterous for you BTW: Your car is overheating... because its getting to friggen hot because of a cooling system problem
  12. Try Mel or Nick @ BM Workshop Ph. 3761250 tell them I gave you their number for a deal
  13. I've done a deal with BMW How does $250 sound ??
  14. Alot harder and very, very expensive because of the body electrics. E34 not a problem
  15. The motors are strong and torquey, and they dont weigh as much as a BMW M60/M62. Cost less to buy and dont require as much electrical work when doing the conversion.
  16. I used this: http://www.unixnerd.demon.co.uk/revs.html I know its a compromise... I dont want the thing screaming its head off on the motorway. As for the back straight... you can start braking just before the kitty litter.... I know it can be done...... Dave showed me last time
  17. What are you trying to achieve ?? If you want 2.5 hp you'll need a 2.5 engine. The AFM wont achieve anything.
  18. Flywheel from UUC in the states. E36 M3 Pressure plate, E34 M5 clutch plate, M3 release bearing & M3 slave cylinder all from BMW. The flywheel to replace the dual mass flywheel is made so that the M5 clutch plate is installed the opposite way round to normal. If anyone needs info about this ring Rob @ UUC Ph. 0016786795360 or email him [email protected] Or you can look here http://www.uucmotorwerks.com/ Appart from the flywheel & LSD, everything I'm using is genuine OEM parts & NEW BTW: I'm not any more... had a real busy day yesterday. I'm all this morning.. I'll get it all sorted
  19. I was running Direzza's on the TI. They were a good tyre, wet & dry. They did get noisey over time when they got close to the wear strips. I think you would get that with any tyre though. I got 24,000km out of them. I'm now running Nexens thanks to Johno (Zinetti) and I'm very pleased with them so far... half the price as well.
  20. All brand new OEM parts. No clutch plate though. I want $350 for them
  21. Geezus... I'm pissed off. I orderd a E34 M5 clutch plate and ended up with a complete E34 M5 clutch kit at twice the price of a clutch plate. The wrong clutch master cylinder and a friggen green centre console gear lever boot? for a Mtech 318 Ti ?? Shits going to hit someones fan tomorrow. Emailed the USA this morning, flywheels on the way. Diff will be ready tomorrow. Anyone want to buy an E34 m5 pressure plate & release bearing ?? $350 incl
