You need to get it scanned first to determine the actual fault before you start pricing things. It could be: Control unit Squib ring Retractor or retractor wiring loom Passengers occupancy sensor Just to name a few of the most common faults..... there are others

Kyle... you must post a price in the For Sales.... forum rules

Were there any faults when the pre-purchase inspection was done ??
-
This has been brought up time & time again. I have never seen or read any proof of this occuring. It's a myth as far as I'm concerned. It's also not legal in this country to tamper with a SRS or ABS safety features on a motor vehicle. All repairs must be in accordance with the manufacturers specifications
-
I've yet to see that proven. Why is it that a BMW crashed with only one person in it, all the airbags don't go off by default ?? The fault should be repaired properly and not fooled around with

Genuine E30 carpet sets are no longer available world wide. We have been down that track. Made up ones will never look exactly the same as the genuine carpets are made in a mould.

If it's an N42 motor it may be the engine oil cooler. What motors in the car ?
-
A cam sensor could cause that, however it would also throw a fault code. Just because the CEL light doesn't come on doesn't mean there is no fault code stored.
-
If it's not throwing fault codes Rough idle: I would check coils- shorting to earth sometimes doesn't throw a fault code Smooth running test in live data should identify the problem cylinder Hard starting hot: Check for air leaks. Check fuel pressure at pump and after fuel filter. Check MAF live data Has the PVC valve been replaced on this car ? If not, test or get it tested

FYI The use of RFID embedded on credit/debit cards raises concerns about security and theft. NB: The issuers maintain they are safe especially as other security measures apply. But the hackers show how easy it can be done. Circulated not to raise alarm, but fyi/general awareness only. http://youtube.googleapis.com/v/lLAFhTjsQHw%26sns=em http://www.stuff.co.nz/technology/digital-...dit-card-threat http://www.pcworld.com/article/249138/rfid...demo_shows.html What next... touch & steal

This is a minimum requirement: Carry out service. Change engine oil and oil filter. Check and top up all fluid levels. Check all lights and instruments. Inspect tyres, steering, suspension and brakes. Test brake fluid and coolant. Check cooling system and drive belts. Inspect spark plugs, check and clean air filter. Check pollen filter. Scan all systems and reset SI board. Road test vehicle. Different models have different check criteria, but this would apply to your car. Oil, filters and other service items have different pricing . You would do the inspection and report to the owner before carrying out any additional repairs. The cost can vary between Dealers and individual workshops. Checking faults the customer has informed you of can add extra cost for time taken to diagnose or repair that fault and may not be included in the standard service cost. You should be advised of this when asking for a cost on the service or any additional work.

The market place would probably be the Ukraine, Russia, Iran or Syria... or maybe Israel or Palestine now

Just top it up with water. Don't mix coolants. And I suggest you do a flush at some time and use BMW coolant ... $20 for 1.5 Litres
