There is nothing to bleed. If there is no fluid movement the 2nd pump is probably faulty as well

Refurbing E46 front caliper - piston problem
*Glenn* replied to [email protected]'s topic in Maintenance
You possibly have contaminated the rubber seals causing them to swell, or your not doing it correctly. I would only put them back together with new seals and rubber grease and keep oil away from all of the parts. Do a final clean before assembly with white spirits or prep-sol. If your not sure get a professional to do it for you... your life could depend on it. BTW: The part # for the BMW kits is correct -

The piston & seal kits are the same for both sides. Only the calliper body is handed left or right. You sure both callipers have the same bore size or the pistons are both the same sizes ??. If they have different kit part numbers I would say there's been a mix up somewhere. The part number should be 3411 1 153 202 X 2 kits. I can confirm that with you chassis# if you like -
$350 is a very fair commercial price to do this. If you cock it up, it will cost you alot more

Insurance ??? There is significant damage there. E38 frontal parts are hard to get hold of second hand
-
Thats who we use. The other thing to consider is the age of the battery as well. If it's over 3 years old I'd bif it

Pity they can't apply that concept to the sale of spare parts for all their range of motor vehicles. We pay far to much for spare parts in this country and this applies to most european makes.

What are you trying to do Allan ? We would never pull them apart... if they are damaged you can't buy seperate parts for them. We would replace it with second hand or new. See if you can get a broken one off a wrecker and try doing it first

It would help if we knew where you are located
