  1. You would also be using your mechanical handbrake as well though wouldn,t you Heath ?? As I understand it you can have hydraulic for sports use but the vehicle must also retain the mechanical handbrake.
  2. That may be different... I'm not sure on that. I just know its not legal for a normal road vehicle because its prone to fail with pressure loss over a long or short period of time. Delivery vans used to have them years ago and many failed causing serious damage.
  3. It won't be cert or WOF legal. Handbrakes must be mechanical & not rely on hydraulics which can leak pressure
  4. Please put pictures up or a link..... Forum Rules
  5. How many times you done it Troy ??
  6. Another thread recently was about fitting these. Can't remember what category the thread was in. I'm pretty sure you can fit the Z3 brace to a E36 though
  7. Just had a look...E36Z3 has same front components. X brace Part # 51718410212. I had a look at E36, it shows the same diagram but says its not applicable. It shows exactly the same diagram for M3 & M3 evo but doesn't list a part #

  9. You would think showing the instrument cluster photo with overdue service showing wasn't the brightest thing to do. Especially with the comments he services BMW's

  11. In the early 90's, nearly all the NZ Car importers did the same. We used to have to use NZ new chassis numbers from another car to buy parts for Jap imports we were working on. After a while they all woke up to the missed opportunity of selling parts. This also lead to the private parts importers that further hit the dealers hard and this continues to this day. When dealers realised the mistake they had made, many did jap import only recalls to replace minor parts for free to get a customer data base for sending out literature to try a gain back lost business. I could name a few of these but I better not. Someone else might like to though.

  18. Wash it out with white spirits or petrol. Use eurothane to seal the rear cover and I would also replace the seals while it was out. Use 75w90 full synthetic oil

  23. I'm sure the moderator will reply to you regarding this. The advertising rule in the Forum rules is a little vague and could be missunderstood. However advertisers (businesses) must have permission to advertise on the forum. I also think this rule should be reworded to make it clearer to forum members.

Better photos would help you with the sale... those are terrible for such a nice car
  25. The drivers door barrels on these cars fail and cause the switch to missaline inside the door. Is the door barrel stiff to operate and does it feel smooth in it's operation ? The central body control relays also give problems. Could be either...or something else. I'm fixing one at the moment. We do 5-6 a month
