    New Weekender - E46 M3

How much front camber is that? First pic (new lot) looks like the front suspension has collapsed with that camera angle lol.

    New 3 Series Touring!!!

$900 on a $100,000 car and it's a free inclusion on any $40,000 car lol.

    Cheap LSD

He's at pains in a couple of them (1 & 3?) to explain that it doesn't work like a Phantom Grip, I won't try to translate because I have no idea. I was beside myself watching him wrestle that diff in and out without taking the 10 mins beforehand to drop the exhaust. ?

    Quick rant thread.

Increase your following distance. If it's foggy you need to use both front and rear lights, when it's not foggy you need to use neither.

    Quick rant thread.

That's just as rant-worthy. If you don't know how your vehicle works leave it in the garage.

    Quick rant thread.

e36 fogs can also only be on with other lights, I'm pretty sure that's standard across most vehicles. Actually fogs+mains in one switch isn't the best in my mind, it lends itself to confusion. Headlights on a rotary switch and a separate fog on/off switch that de/activates fronts and rears at the same time plus a dash light is perfect. You can't screw that up. The e36 nearly gets this right but it has separate front/rear fog switches which is stupid, there should be only one, there's no circumstance where you need one without the other.
  7. Nice one Darren, look sharp. ? And what's the Alpina story... ?
  8. Okay... will the car be inside or out? I think there might be disadvantages to using them on top of one another.
  9. Might not be much help but I know the Porsche 911 covers have the ears... you'd need to check length, width and roof line to mirror distance to ensure a good fit. They're also ridiculously expensive (think $800). Any reason it has to have the ears rather than just folding in the mirrors and using a normal cover?
  10. I was going to ask, how many M3's is that now Brad? ? Yes, Avus is beautiful... was available as an Individual option on the Evo as well. The front grill+support and the side markers are PFL also but a number of Evo's are PFL anyway (mine is but since mostly updated). You could also get that horrible steering wheel as late as 1999! Seats look mint, I'm jealous already. They actually look like mine, Lotus White, do you know the specific colour? Front fogs also look like mine at the moment! ? You need to get that feather duster out! ?
  11. Wind the boost up, she'll punch right through cap'n.
  12. Ahh, summer in England...

    Quick rant thread.

Hang on a sec, did the seller not include the specification of the wheel in the listing?
  14. These? https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw-bracket-lower-17111723337 10 bucks each and they'll be here in a week. Make sure you also have the rubber feet.
  15. It's not as night and day as some people suggest the Michelin is to other premium tyres. I've used them before, absolutely top tier but others do compare. Just saying.
  16. For the record my Goodyear F1 experience is not on runflats... in fact i didn't even know they were available as such!

    e36 325i Coupe Project

Your vibration sounds (and feels) like the one that's recently developed on my 328... I'm also thinking wheel bearing so keen to hear your results.
  18. I'm also happy with the Goodyear F1's on my M3. I run a staggered setup with 255 A3's on the rear and 225 D5's up front, it works well for me. I thrash it whenever I can and they haven't let go on me in any unexpected fashion so far. Edit: they are very quite which may explain why I think the Pirellis on my 328 are crazy loud.
  19. Okay, if you want professional grade stuff probably best to talk to the guys at OCD (http://www.ocdetailing.co.nz/). You can get 'Trim Paint' online or probably from SCA or Repco which will keep it looking good for up to 18 months (?) depending on sun exposure. I've used plastic spray on some of my exterior trim and am very happy... some people use peanut butter and are happy (no sh*t).
  20. Sure but 'can't be that bad' is different from 'good' and there are better cars for a daily in this thread. I never intended to imply that nobody would daily a CSL (my mate did for a while, b roads roads mainly) but I do know that most wouldn't want to.
  21. What year/model 320 though? Many different surfaces. And are you talking about the inside or out? If it's the outside, does regular car wash liquid not work?
  22. It eschews comfort in the interests of performance. It's a track car that works on the street, not a street car that works on the track (i.e. the opposite of a regular M3/4). One of my favourite BMW's of all time but as a daily? Not unless your daily commute is an awesome B road route and your partner drives the Swift to do the shopping. ?
  23. Damn my 56k modem!
