  1. I didn't think so but one sold in less than 24h for $37k last week... and I reckon mine's $1k better... ?
  2. Heck with current prices maybe I should sell the M3 ($38k) and the 130i ($10k) and daily this... for $0 extra investment. ?

    Wipertech Opinions

The site is simple enough, the info not-so-much. For example, where do I find the matrix that compares the features of the various blades they sell for similar prices? How am I meant to choose otherwise? Navigate back and forward between pages and try and interpret their English-as-a-second-language text? I don't have the time. And they don't market "exclusive speed spoiler blades" for the 1er, hence my request for a link.

Thanks, hadn't heard of them. Do you have a link to the ones you have? Even if they're for a different car... and it seems they all need an (included) adaptor to fit, bather than direct fit, is that the case? TBH I found the info on the website a bit confusing. Actually wipers are unnecessarily confusing period.

    Quick Questions

Hyper have Goodyear Assurance Triplemaxs in that size and on special - four for $490... you're not likely to find a better tyre/price combo in that size.

    Quick rant thread.

WTF? Is that the normal price now?
  7. Or that the 80,000 was mean't to be a 50,000.
  8. $7050, even with the front end and shitty pics I think that's pretty good tbh.
  9. Anyone watching this? https://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-2685592122.htm $7k with 30 mins to go, will probably go for less than $8k. Looks a little ragged and the front end is spew but not too difficult to bring up to spec. Edit... then again I'm not sure these are the best cars to purchase at auction without viewing first.
  10. Has anyone had experience with https://www.wipertech.co.nz/ wipers? If so, your thoughts? They're full arm replacements but apparently custom sized and come with a 12 month warranty. $100 for 3 (130i) which isn't chump change but probably $299 less than BMW NZ would charge. I realised last week coming back from the Coromandel in torrential rain that my current wipers/blades suck hard.
  11. This is off my 130i, nothing wrong with it, comes with used bushings and brackets, 26.5mm. Fits all E9x/E8x cars, they're all the same part so this isn't an upgrade, just a replacement. includes used but working droplinks. $50 collected from Ellerslie. Bottom one in the pic if that wasn't already obvious.
  12. New cabin filter in, one that came out was dirty but not terrible, probably replaced already at some time during the car's life. Much, much easier than the PITA e36 equivalent which is at the back of the interior centre console. I also installed the e92 M3 front anti-roll bar and new droplinks and am slightly amazed at how much a difference it's made, it's noticeably stiffer and really aids turn in. In fact I'm glad I didn't install it immediately before or after the alignment as I might not have been able to tell the difference with so many changes. The replacement drop links are much beefier than the originals that came out. This thinner section on the 130 bar and bushing flanges on the M3 bar are the only obvious differences between the two bars but there may be other meaningful ones, they weigh about the same. However the aluminium M3 brackets and captive bushes are far superior (and lighter) than the originals. And finally the replacement droplinks are also superior.
  13. Win 10, Pro at least, has a native hypervisor built in, even has Linux kernels, it's where I run Ubuntu. If you use that then there will be no Win 10 licensing implications (although I imagine licensing is low on the priority list). I have ISTA running on my laptop, I'll try and rebuild it inside Hyper-V (edit: when I get time, probably not short term).

    Recaros for E30

    That's an amazing outcome, props!

  16. Yes, more local storage is the solution for @Driftit and once the VM is built it can be distributed (responsibly, for redundancy and backup purposes only, to be tested regularly). Remote support is easy these days should it be required when building the image.
  17. $8,500 ono... not silly money... https://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-2695841650.htm
  18. It's not $7k but it's also not a silly price.... https://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-2695841650.htm
  19. Perhaps. If so, good luck with the networking. ?
  20. How will running it in a VM help with your hard drive space? It will actually take more space.'

    Recaros for E30

That's ^ almost too good to be true. I'd jump on it. If you do go down the SR4 (Evo IV) route, not sure about fit for others, I have these original inserts in M Rain pattern, new.
  22. So $225? If so, I'll put them on TM for 1 week at $500 and if they don't sell it's a deal as long as you can pick them up. Just confirm that's what you meant in case I've misunderstood.
  23. Swann? If so  Edit: so this page is not longer accurate? https://www.swanninsurance.co.nz/Insurance/Pages/Classic-Car.aspx policy docs haven't changed since April 2018.
  24. Don't be so sure, these haven't sold yet! ? What did you get for yours if you don't mind?
