Can you please sell that to Auckland Transport to install in all the busses they contract to turn the f'ing GPS on when the bus is started?!? Why TF it doesn't turn on automatically, and requires a driver to remember, is beyond me. When they forget to turn the GPS on the app and digital signs don't update and it's a real PITA.

Yep, one press on the button. Relay, hmm, not sure my electrical skills are that good... ? any idea of what type of relay I'd need? And I imagine it'll have more than 2 pins/posts so not a straight-forward inline install?

In some circumstances you're right. Don't get me wrong, the RS4 is my favourite of all time wagon, it's just not a great alternative to an e36 M3, if that's the experience you're looking for. You own or buy an old M3 these days for it's character, handling, weight and feedback, not for its speed.

It doesn't take much to make these cars ride a lot better and since the rear is terrible compared to the front (stock) then you should be in for a pleasant surprise.

RS4's are epic, and if anyone wants a B5 I know one for off-market sale. They're quick and fast but you can't compare them to an e36 M3, they're a full 200 kg's heavier and nowhere near (like different side of the planet) as nimble.

I'm not sure I understand... did they tell you that you have to pay specifically for fitting? Their website claims not and I've never paid for them to fit or balance mine.... seems odd. But regardless, sub $150 a corner for quality Goodyears is still excellent value (for NZ).

Believe it or not that SMG badge was standard up until about '03 when BMW realised how stupid it looks. If they're genuine CSL wheels (probably not) they're worth a lot, but not $30k.

Mine? No, it wasn't meant to read that way. IMHO: 245/225 is a viable, if not optimal, setup. 235 square is the alternative, no other combos. Separately, one has more options with 235/45 v's 235/40 these days so worth considering. That's all. ?
