  1. This little article came my way thought others might be interested it is UK based. http://www.breakeryard.com/blog/dangers-of-i-sapping/?utm_source=Customers-10-2013&utm_campaign=c13b4200bd-March_2015_a_to_d_Newsletter_2015&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_c085751039-c13b4200bd-80368089
  2. Oh oh!! how could one survive with out my remote central locking, A/c, heated mirrors, abs, acs, stc, power steering, paddle gear change, auto shift,Hardom stereo, gps etc etc hehehe!!!.
  3. As per title after a complete M sport rear seat for a e46 compact Thanks Allan
  4. Having a chat with your certifier can save you a lot of heart ache and dollars. Also it is not only the HP increase that will catch you but the fact that your vehicle had a particular engine type etc related to that chassis number and you are changing it as I found out when I did my upgrade. As for the drive shaft hoops you may be lucky you may not will depend again on what your cert man has to say. Best of luck it's a bit of a mine field from what the regs say and what certifiers will allow just get in touch with who every you decide to use and have a chat.
  5. 12.5kg approx electric seat motors
  6. Water injection is not new Chev had water injection working way back got it up to about 30 percent I believe.
  7. Hello and welcome to the forum had a quick google and their is plenty of info their for you on your tii http://bringatrailer.com/2013/07/26/bat-exclusive-1973-bmw-2002tii-sunroof/ http://www.carbuildindex.com/9530/1973-bmw-2002tii-restoration-the-perfect-build/ It is great to see these cars being brought back to pristine condition.
  8. Where you given a track number when you purchased the item?. If so you can use the USPS track sight to see were they last had it logged then proceed to make a claim with Pay pal giving them all the info you have. Also contact ECU tuning and tell them what has happened and what you are doing to see if they will help or advise you. Don't delay or as you mentioned the time period for making a claim with Pay pal will expire and you will loose every which way. It's one of the pit falls of buying overseas some times things get de-railed best of luck .
  9. Occurs on e39's also provide some extra protection for the wiring.
  10. I'm not expert but looking at the photos that does not look to serious and any plastic repairer worth their salt should be able to fix it. Being A BEEMER their is always A But what if any damage is their hidden.
  11. Try here http://bmwfans.info/parts-catalog/E46-Sedan/Europe/325i-M54/R-N/jun2001/browse/vehicle_trim/cover_for_rocker_panel_wheel_arch/. Just a word of caution the main clips holding the skirts on for a M sport are different to a Standard skirt set up. If that is the clips you are talking about.
  12. Can think of the following 1. Get a quote from a panel beater to repair the damaged totally. Will give you an idea of how much you will be up for and if you could reduce that cost. 2. Call in any outstanding debts owed by people you know in the motor trade etc. 3. If only bumper damaged take the car to a place that repairs bumpers/ plastic welding and paints etc and get a price ask if bumper removed refitted by you/ friend will it reduce the cost. 4. Trade me option here you have bumper cost, transport to you, painting if not correct colour. If you can remove refit the bumper your self or friend can this will help reduce the price. Considering a new, primed only, bare bumper could be close to a grand if not more then it would appear to be a good price would need to be checked out though. The only other issue is what damage is their behind the dent that is already their. As some clips or support brackets maybe damaged you will not know this until the bumper is removed.
  13. "Maintaining up to date tracking information falls into this basket, too." In my experience not only NZ Post has trouble with this part of the transport process. Have had items arrive on my door step but track info says it has just cleared customs sender end Uk , States, Lithuania, NZ, Aussy. Or no info at all and I have the item but they still charge like wounded bulls for the service that doesn't seem to function properly. As mentioned any car safety devise ie air bag devise is classed as a dangerous goods item (explosive canister) and must be declared as such if you want to get it transported ( legally).

  15. +1 as above fine jewelers screw driver you will have to open the plastic terminal connector it will have a flap or slide piece. Once this is removed you will be able to see the terminals located in the plastic connector depress the locking tab on the terminal and pull the terminal out it will only move a short distance and become stuck again depress the lock again in the second space in the plastic block and pull the terminal pin and wire free. Have a photo of it some were will post it up if I can find but most of the pins can be removed from their connector. https://www.dropbox.com/s/nszk4yxuj5ailrx/pin%20removalt.jpg?dl=0
  16. Does this help http://bmwfans.info/parts-catalog/Z3-Coupe/Europe/Z3_2.8-M52/feb1998/browse/fuel_preparation_system/fuel_tank_breath_valve_disturb_air_valve/ As Allan mentioned cooling system http://bmwfans.info/parts-catalog/E36-Sedan/Europe/318is-M44/R-M/jun1998/browse/engine/cooling_system_water_hoses/

  19. Can the front section of a e38 be removed like a e46? If so and the front sub frame is the same just swap the whole front suspension motor package over. Their is going to be some things i know that will need to be changed for sure it is a BMW after all haha.
  20. New & old http://i1146.photobucket.com/albums/o526/Allanson54/Mobile%20Uploads/PC031395_zpsgs1tmtb9.jpg
  21. Their was a direct replacement unit for these on trade me a while back. just google the DRl bit should be heaps of info on it.
  22. Do some research and you will find most if not all the reviews pick the e39 530 as the all round balanced car might raise a few hecklers ???. Have owned a 530 for 5 odd years and although most of it's running was highway it returned 735-750k average per tank not mucking around. They are a nice car to travel in and drive using the tiptronic can be heaps of fun or be lazy and let the auto do the work. They are by no means bullet proof and have their weak points so attention to details doing your research on them helps. Don't be in a hurry to buy drive as many of the different variation 520, 530 540 M5 so you can come to grips with each and improve your knowledge of them to make a good wise decision best of luck.

    BMW latest in lights

Fiddling maybe it brings to me a positive and negative thought. In the correct situation could save some fools life and it is always good to see that little bit more ahead in the dark.. Although it could give a false sense of security and make you feel you can go faster at night than maybe your driving experience will permit food for thought ?

    Drivexasperation

Can think of a number of things Not having the distance between you and the vehicle in front to stop safely (tail gating), txt , yacking on the cell, perving at the lambo with the blonde driving it, inadequate roading system due to congestion, bad driving habits.
