  1. Depends on your definition of easy also if the wrecker would sell you the drivers seat on it's own for a reasonable price. Have just had the base and back outer panels replaced on the drivers seat of some M sport seats with material supplied cost me $130.00 odd. It requires some time ie remove the seat and various components but if you are willing to put in the effort then yes it can be done.   2. How blue did the air get Josh ?. Trying to fit square/ straight cabinet units to out of level and not straight walls sure does need a few tweaks and is a real joy not. But worth the effort at the end of the day granite bench tops I hope chuckle.

Hi Ben, Welcome to the compact family As far as the skirts go none of the part numbers Sedan, Coupe and Compact they are all different you would need to measure them up and check from their but I have a feeling you could be out of luck and the shape of them is also different if interested I have a pair of Compact standard skirts. As you start to change things on your Compact you will find that they are different in many ways from the other e46 family members. An example of this is the rails on the skirts which hold the clips these are different from the standard to the M sports as are the clips themselves. The front bumper M sport verses Standard are secured differently. The rear bumper does indeed have different side retaining brackets and from memory so are the rear pieces and so forth.

  7. Amber Wouldn't be to hard to swap a set of leather covers from a pair of electric controlled seats to a pair of manual ones or vice verse as long as they are both either standard or M sport. The metal frame and foam padding design is the same per seat design only changes I found is the M sport the obvious difference in shape but as far as the frame goes it is only two pieces of 8mm rod and the leg support which just screws on to the metal base. Their is something like 6kgs between a electric operated seat and a manual one.

  9. The sensor pad is in the base of the passengers seat under the cover and on top of the foam. Have been told the wire connections and the wire can brake over time and abuse don't know if true.   11. Something a miss with the nav computer drive hit a bump and the vib makes it play. In regard to others remarks woman require to use at least 3,000 words a day a man about 500 so is that were the term "air bag" possible came from ?

What condition is the fuel deliver system, like you did mention replacing the fuel filter because if the tank has water or rubbish in it the filter won't last long.   14. Aren't mods to e46 seats a load of fun chuckle chuckle just finished converting a pair of sedan M sport seats over to fit in the Ti. As you no doubt have found the seats come apart with out to much trouble just go easy with the sensor pad in the passengers one these are pron to giving trouble if ill treated and not cheap to replace.
  15. Not sure but the engine seemed to function alright can only relate my experience to you.Once I had replaced the valve and started the engine took it for a small drive the engine symbol went away and it hasn't reappeared.
  16. When you turn the ignition on and that engine symbol shows is their also eml beside it and does the eml disappear leaving the engine symbol?. If so I ended up replacing the fuel tank breather valve. It has something to do with returning petrol fumes to the inlet manifold for re-burning as I understand it. They are a common fault the solenoid in them jams or just stops working plenty of write ups how to replace them on the net. Real Oem com has them under Fuel preparation part No 1.

    E46 Diffs

    Not sure what the max torque loading is of the small or medium case diff for an e46. Although It is possible to swap a medium case for a small case with out having to mod the sub -frame as I have not long done it on my e46 Ti.
  20. If that is the case then you will need to find another radio that has one fitted or one from a NZ vehicle.

Also the e36 ti came out with a 323 M52 as standard but only in left hand drive best of luck with your project. How much of the interior will you be stripping out as they have some faults which I'm no doubt you are aware of.
